How You’ll Make an Impact 

As a Production Control Coordinator you will have the responsibility of planning, scheduling, tracking and expediting product through the Order Fulfillment cycle.  The Production Control Coordinator’s responsibility begins with the receipt of the customer purchase order or contract, through the manufacturing cycle, shipment, and/or stock.  This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining inventory levels in support of company policy and objectives.  This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager.

    • Creates and manages production schedules.

As an Aerospace Assembly Technician, you will perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations. You will work from diagrams and drawings, make initial layouts, and use hand and/or power tools. You will make continuity checks on work in process and completed. You may conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.   • Using hand and power tools, assemble a variety of parts, sub-assemblies, or complete units to specified tolerances.

  • Inserting bushings, bearings, and pins using Arbor press
  • Touch up paint, apply epoxy coatings and sealants.
  • Marking parts with engravers, vibro-peen, chem-etch, or laser.
  • Production testing using hydraulic and other test methods.
  • Follow written instructions, drawings, and blueprints.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
  • Ensure proper documentation is entered on manufacturing planning (including correct quantities) and paperless timecard system.
  • Completes all daily record keeping, part count and part traceability with consistent accuracy.
  • Adheres to all workplace safety guidelines, policies, and laws determined by the company, state, and federal authorities.

Working with Engineering and Purchasing and Quality teams to control and release rejected materials with detailed documentation and accurate ERP system (JD Edwards) inputted transactions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works as a general coordinator for activities related to non-conforming product.

• Works with Quality, Manufacturing, and Design Engineering groups to obtain disposition of non-conforming product.

• Maintains inventory control of non-conforming material.

• Update and maintain rejection report database and status of rejected material.

• Review documentation for completeness and accuracy. Ensure that documents are properly submitted for scanning into network folders. May perform scanning of documents.

• Process and move parts per disposition instructions.

• Work with Production, Stockroom, and Finance department personnel to maintain accurate data transactions within the ERP system.

• May assist manufacturing engineering with documentation of rework.

• May perform basic visual inspection and measurement of product.

• Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrate understanding of quality systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Education: Requires technical training courses in a related field or the equivalent in prior work experience.
  • Years of experience: Entry-level, 0 to 3 years experience.

OTHER PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES OR QUALIFICATIONS (not required):

  • Experience with electromechanical sensors and systems a plus.
  • Experienced or trained in a world class-manufacturing environment with familiarity in Lean and Six Sigma activities.
  • Knowledge of AS9100/ISO9000:2000, SPC, FMEA, and other related industry standards a plus.
