Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate electrical systems, devices, and controls.

  • Perform welding tasks using MIG and stick techniques; TIG experience is a plus.
  • Operate cutting torches and other standard fabrication tools.

The Facilities Technician is primarily responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of two manufacturing facilities, ensuring a safe and functional environment for all employees. This role is crucial for maintaining the company’s operational efficiency and safety standards. The Facilities Technician also serves as the primary contact for emergencies that may impact the company’s operations, working with all supervisors & coordinating with outside contractors as necessary.

  • Building Maintenance and Safety
    • Perform routine building maintenance (e.g., painting, patching walls, repairing fixtures, replacing ceiling tiles, cleaning as needed) to ensure a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment.
    • Conduct preventative maintenance for various machines, including CNC machinery and furnaces.

OVERVIEW: The Product Research Center (PRC) Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to facility improvements, and preventive and corrective maintenance. The Maintenance Technician may complete required tasks and/or pursue external resources to complete those tasks, which may include planning, prioritizing, monitoring and inspecting the work of contracted vendors in the construction, modification, maintenance and repair of PRC buildings, facilities and equipment. Items may include air compressors, cooling towers, pump systems, test equipment, electric motors and test equipment infrastructure.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain and perform basic service on all equipment, pumps, and motors.

•Daily walk-through of the PRC building to verify equipment and infrastructure is operating as expected to ensure PRC readiness.

• Follow a preventative maintenance program for the PRC facility with the goal of zero downtime.

• Ensure the building is always showable for management and customer tours.

• Complete repairs to equipment.

• Comply with hazardous material storage, use, handling and disposal requirements, as well as OSHA, building, fire, and other regulatory code requirements.

• Maintain accurate and complete facilities records.

• Provide regular project updates to management, including written and verbal, as requested.

• If test demand warrants, work with Test Technicians to test product until demand subsides.

• Perform all work neatly, with excellent craftsmanship, and in accordance with all safety policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma, or G.E.D

• Experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

• Basic plumbing knowledge and working with pipe fittings including associated tools such as pipe wrenches.

• Experience operating and maintaining pumps, motors, and VFDs.

• Must be able to lift 35lbs and handle pipe fitting assemblies.

• General building repairs and maintenance.

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of electrical/mechanical schematics, blueprints, drawings and manuals.

Job Summary:

The Electromechanical Maintenance Tech will:

  • Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electromechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.  Perform operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
  • Dismantle, adjust, repair, assemble and rebuild equipment, electronic system circuitry and computerized systems according to layout plans, blueprints, manuals, rough sketches or drawings. Perform routine maintenance of manufacturing equipment according to preventive maintenance procedures.

  • Maintain logs and records indicating malfunctions.
  • Perform equipment modifications or other tasks to support manufacturing operations as directed by manufacturing engineers (e.g. install electrical conduits, wires, sensors, and controls per manufacturing/equipment engineer’s specifications).

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 yrs electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience, including A/C inverters and frequency drives, hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge and troubleshooting experience, required
  • Technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Two years electrical experience in electrical and electronics troubleshooting preferred.
  • Experience with PLC’s, welding, and machining a plus.
  • Must have ability to read and interpret blueprints, maintenance manuals, and engineering sketches.

Monday through Friday| 5:30am-2:30pm|$33.25/hr – Temp-to-hire opportunity! 

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains and repairs all aspects of production line equipment including cookers, wrappers, conveyors, etc.
  • Must be able to work all craft specialties, including electrical, welding, mechanical, refrigeration, pneumatic and structural.
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts on equipment. Dismantles machinery to access part(s) needing repair replaces/repairs defective parts and reassembles machinery. Lubricates and cleans working mechanisms on production equipment.
  • Responds to urgent needs to keep the production lines running continually.
  • Performs plant inspections on fire systems, storage freezers, refrigeration system, etc., and records information into daily summaries.

defects in equipment using touch, sight and sound and repair equipment in accordance with established GMP and

3. Competently utilize standard mechanics tools. Proficiently use calipers, feeler gauges and micrometers.
4. Provides quality customer service to external and internal customers while using a personable customer service
attitude.
5. Maintains radio contact with planner scheduler, supervisor and maintenance department personnel using supplied
radios. Answers radio calls as required. Maintains radio etiquette at all times.
6. Is proactive in walking the facility and evaluating equipment health on a daily basis. Reports any problems found
that need corrective action taken, and ensures a work order is raised to repair as required.
7. Safely operates shop tools and equipment as required to make repairs and/or fabricate simple parts.

  • Checking equipment and facilities for issues that need repair Repairing
  • Performing general repairs that don’t require a specialized technician, such as fixing drywall, painting, or repairing doors
  • Performing routine maintenance on building systems, such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC
  • Performing necessary cleaning activities, such as dusting, mopping, and trash removal 
  • Checking the functionality of safety systems, such as fire alarms, carbon monoxide, and smoke detectors
  •  Reporting issues to a facilities or maintenance manager in a timely fashion
  • Following safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

Job Requirements:

Requirements: 

  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Strong ability to problem solve
  • Experience using hand and electrical tools
  • Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical stamina and dexterity
