POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Maintenance Mechanic/Mold Tech II, you’ll be responsible for supporting, troubleshooting and maintaining the Distribution Center equipment. This position is also responsible for assisting with facility repairs as needed. This Maintenance Mechanic/Mold Tech II is expected to be pro-active and have the ability to perform their work at a high level with minimum supervision.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Responsible for following all Safety policies in compliance with Safety Standards and Programs
  • Perform tasks in order to increase Equipment Uptime and Reliability
  • Perform periodic Preventative Maintenance tasks
  • Provide troubleshooting skills in order to make mechanical/electrical repairs to equipment
  • Communicate issues/improvements/ideas between department members and Supervision
  • Responsible for reviewing Corrective Work Orders via Smartsheets or CMMS software and update as required
  • Troubleshoot equipment/machinery to determine issue and repair in a safe/timely manner
  • Light Fabrication Work as needed
  • Work alongside the Operations team in resolving equipment issues

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Industrial Maintenance
  • Ability to perform electrical/mechanical troubleshooting and repairs
  • Knowledge and ability to understand Electrical/Mechanical Drawings
  • Experience repairing complex equipment/machinery
  • Knowledge and experience with computers (Ability to research parts, machines, etc.)
  • Strong Work Ethic
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others
  • Ability to complete tasks timely

Provide support and coordination in the maintenance and optimization of all facility equipment and machinery to maximize smooth operation time and minimize disruption to plant operations and production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in the review of the operational status of all facility equipment and systems to implement plans to minimize downtime, anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain the Maintenance Management System for tracking work, spare parts, and historical maintenance records for all facility equipment.

Now Hiring Industrial Maintenance Technician in Fabens TX 

Location: Fabens, TX
Department: Maintenance
Pay: $16 or DOE
Schedule: 6:00am6:00pm or 6:00pm – 6:00am

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of production and processing equipment. The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems and experience supporting manufacturing operations.

  • Perform mechanical installation, equipment optimization, and preventive maintenance on production equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system components.

  • Maintain and repair plant equipment using diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and operation manuals.

  • Perform emergency repairs to minimize downtime and production delays.

  • Conduct equipment changeovers as required.

  • Complete and document all maintenance activities using the CMMS (MP2) system.

  • Use schematics and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues efficiently.

  • Perform work with minimal supervision while adhering to all safety, GMP, SOP, and company standards.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement breakdown elimination procedures.

  • Support compliance with environmental regulations related to wastewater, stormwater, HVAC, and hazardous waste.

  • Troubleshoot PLC programming, VFD drives, 3-phase systems, motor controls, and DC electronics.

  • Understand and maintain HVAC systems and related components.

Job Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.

  • Working knowledge of PLC logic and solid-state electronics.

  • Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • Proficiency with CMMS systems (MP2 preferred).

  • Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, boilers, water treatment, and fire systems.

  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

  • NFPA 70E Certified (preferred).

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.


Minimum Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.

  • Must pass technical interview and electrical test.

  • Ability to work any shift, including overtime as required.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.

  • Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, or Mechanical (preferred).


Preferred Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.

  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

  • Experience troubleshooting electrical and control systems using test equipment and wiring diagrams.

  • Ability to set up and calibrate sensors, RTDs, thermocouples, relays, and switches.

  • Skilled in troubleshooting vibratory feeders, drives, and flexors.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).

  • Completion of safety training programs.
