Job Opening: Equipment Technician
Description
Equipment Technician needed in Manufacturing at highly innovative solar technology company in Cecil Field area of Jacksonville for ResourceMFG / Remedy Workforce Specialist. The Equipment Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing, and overseeing the production equipment and performing regular and extensive maintenance and repairs on equipment. In addition, the technician should perform job duties including, but not limited to, evaluating, inspecting, and maintaining various types of manufacturing equipment and machinery in the facility.
Day Shift (A and C): 6:00 AM-6:00 PM
Night Shift (B and D): 6:00 PM-6:00 AM
$19.85 – $21.80 per hour ($1 shift differential)
Responsibilities:
- Report the equipment status and related anomalies/corrective actions to the Equipment Engineer.
- Ability to utilize standard hand tools and electrical testing devices.
- Ensure equipment operates smoothly and efficiently within manufacturing requirements.
- Execute daily/monthly Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Install, test, and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Generate equipment deficiency reports to resolve equipment anomalies and prevent potential failures or material damage.
- Improve equipment performance, minimize equipment downtime, and make recommendations for equipment improvements.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
- Maintain the spare parts program.
- Cooperate with internal and external audits, regulations, ISO Standards, GMPs, QFS, 5P, etc.
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Additional related duties may be assigned based upon business requirements.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in electrical or mechanical maintenance and repair.
- Ability to lift 35lbs, bend over, and stand for long periods.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational/prioritization skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure & meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- At least two years of related working experience.
