Select Staffing has a Warehouse Lead position available within a distribution company in Simi Valley, CA.

 

Pay: $21.00 – $23.00

Hours: 7AM – 3:30PM (overtime required sometimes)

Monday to Friday

 

Tasks and Duties:

  • Work closely with the Distribution Center Supervisor and Manager to oversee operations and warehouse staff
  • Strong focus on warehouse safety through building and maintaining safety culture.
  • Maintain 5S standards (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize and Sustain) throughout the warehouse
  • Achieve department and company objectives with completion of daily department tasks.
  • Drive and follow through to the procedures, roles and responsibilities consistently and continuously
  • Schedule delivery appointments for all incoming shipments.
  • Maintain constant communication with trafficking department regarding receiving confirmations, shortages in inbounds, and empty container pickups.
  • Allocate receiving staff based on inbound schedule.
  • Verify accuracy of physical receiving quantities and ensure they match inbound Purchase Orders
  • Conduct receiving audit of inbounds and report any issues to QA.
  • Coordinate with put away team to ensure all product is removed from receiving area in full.
  • Develop and implement effective warehouse storage practices that promote efficient storage, inventory identification, and retrieval of inventory for picking.
  • Support and provide all necessary tools, training, and equipment needed for forklift drivers and pickers including conducting forklift skills test and promoting warehouse safety guidelines.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and drive their deployment.
  • Ensure staff are fully trained on assigned tasks and organize on-going cross training of employees.
  • Assist with and oversee all work that is set-up during the day and distribute workload to the team.
  • Motivate the warehouse team and hold daily start up meetings.
  • Plan, execute, and lead annual Physical inventory.
  • Perform inventory Cycle Count to improve picking efficiency and accuracy.
  • Investigate inventory inaccuracies, root cause analysis, and define corrective action plans.
  • Maintain proper handling of all documents including: BOL’s, POD’s, RTV’s, and RMA’s.
  • Prepare daily picking activities following daily shipping schedule.
  • Execute daily work schedule and notify department manager of any delays on batches been released from logistics department.
  • Pull orders according to the picking tickets form and recheck them to ensure accuracy.
  • Verify all orders processed by order pickers are fully confirmed and shortages or back orders are properly documented and communicated.
  • Ensure that a quality check is performed on all order papers.
  • Ensure that all items picked are loaded correctly and accurately into the corresponding trailer.

 

 

Job Requirements:

General Skills & Knowledge:

- Experience operating electric rider pallet jack, cherry picker, and stand up reach truck forklift.

- Basic math and recording abilities.

  • Inspects product quantities and colors of items brought to them for order verification.

A Press Operator, or Machine Press Operator, runs computer-controlled machines that cut, shape and design various materials. Their main duties include troubleshooting machines for any malfunctions or irregularities, fixing machine parts as needed to ensure they operate properly and conducting quality checks on the machines.

• Reviewing job orders to make the right adjustments to the printing machine
• Installing parts and supplies such as ink rollers, screens, printing plates and stencils according to the job specifications and blueprints

• Handling production of the printed materials, including the printing and racking process, to ensure it meets the specifications and is ready on schedule
