Sr. CNC Machinist – Day Shift

This isn’t a button-pushing role. We’re looking for a true machinist—someone who can walk up to a machine, understand the job, and make it happen.

In this role, you’ll set up, program, and run your own work, making real-time adjustments and producing precision parts that matter. If you take pride in your craft and value autonomy, you’ll fit right in.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years CNC machining experience in a production environment
  • Strong setup and programming experience (lathe and/or mill)
  • Ability to create/edit programs using G-code or conversational controls
  • Manual machining experience (lathes, mills)
  • Blueprint reading and precision measurement skills (calipers, gauges)
  • Problem-solving mindset with ability to make on-the-fly adjustments

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, program, and operate CNC and manual equipment
  • Adjust programs to maintain part quality and efficiency
  • Hold tight tolerances and inspect finished parts
  • Troubleshoot tooling and machining issues
  • Support a safe, productive shop environment

Experience with Haas, Mazak, Doosan, plasma cutting, CAD/CAM, and multi-spindle machines is a plus.

Tool & Die / Maintenance Technician

Schedule: Full-Time

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Tool & Die / Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations by fabricating, repairing, and maintaining dies, fixtures, and specialized equipment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work from both simple and complex designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, and written descriptions to visualize and create products
  • Develop detailed specifications and produce drawings or sketches from general descriptions
  • Compute dimensions and plan layouts and assembly operations
  • Use precision measuring equipment to ensure components meet tolerance requirements
  • Inspect, modify, and build tools, dies, and equipment repair parts as needed
  • Repair, replace, adjust, and align machinery and equipment components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, lifts, and hoists
  • Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders
  • Test machines following repairs to ensure proper functionality
  • Perform a wide range of duties to fabricate, repair, and maintain dies, fixtures, and specialized tooling
  • Work from basic drawings to complex designs, recommending improvements when necessary
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Follow all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout and hazardous material handling procedures

Job Requirements:

  • Four years’ experience as a Tool Room Machinist or a Journeyman
  • Mathematical aptitude and strong math skills including geometry, algebra, and trigonometry
  • Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of machines, tools, screws, threads, and tapers, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Production and processing aptitude including knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, complicated drawings, and specifications
  • Critical thinking skills in order to detect issues in the creation process and find solutions to ensure the machinery creates the product provided in the draft
  • Familiarity with working properties of metals, alloys, and tool steels and demonstrated ability to fabricate sheet metal, migweld, and braze
  • Capable of designing jigs, form tools, and small fixtures
  • Capable of holding precise dimensions with a close tolerance
  • Capable of indicating in spindle heads, and aligning components
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and adaptable; able to work independently within a team focused environment
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronically controlled equipment is a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of CNC programming is a plus but not required
  • Tig welding and welding cast-iron is a plus but not required

CNC Machinist

?Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·      Consistently practice safe work habits and abide by all safety policies and guidelines

·      Validate program accuracy by running sample parts – measure features per drawings

·      Maintain inventories of raw materials and parts using established control procedures

·      Safely handle materials and material handling equipment to prevent injuries, prevent damage to equipment and to ensure the quality of the product

·      Do complex setups, recall and edit programs (Gcode) and make offsets as required to troubleshoot and meet quality & production requirements on various types of CNC and manual machining equipment

·      Fabricate part holding fixtures as required to maintain quality and safety

·      Load, initiate machine cycle, unload, clean and consistently inspect parts

·      Be willing to cross train, and train lesser experienced employees in the area

·      Organize and complete tasks on-time to meet the production schedule requirements

·      Maintain housekeeping and safety, preform user maintenance of all equipment

·      Accurately record time and material data as required for production reporting

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join a custom fabrication environment where no two days are the same. This role requires hands-on experience with precision machining, CNC programming, and tooling repair while holding tight tolerances. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and takes pride in high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze engineering drawings and specifications
  • Set up and operate machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, drill presses, and saws
  • Program and operate HAAS CNC lathes and mills
  • Fabricate and machine tooling from blueprints
  • Repair molds and tooling while maintaining tight tolerances (± .001”)
  • Heat treat steel using shop furnace; machine hardened steel
  • Inspect, clean, and troubleshoot tooling for defects
  • Verify dimensions and alignments using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, dial indicators, gauge blocks, etc.)
  • Repair and maintain fixtures as needed
  • Perform quality checks and respond to production needs in a timely manner
  • Follow all safety guidelines and company policies
  • Take ownership of product quality and accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Perform complete CNC mill setups independently
  • Program, edit, and optimize using Mastercam
  • Take jobs from print → program → setup → production
  • Read and interpret prints with tight tolerances and GD&T
  • Select tooling, speeds/feeds, and machining strategies
  • Prove out jobs and ensure repeatability and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot machining and quality issues
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections

Process & Leadership Expectations

  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Reduce cycle times and improve tooling performance
  • Help develop setup sheets and standardized procedures
  • Mentor less experienced machinists
  • Support overall shop efficiency and throughput
