The Quality Technician will be responsible for completion of inspection and measuring various engine components to ensure compliance to quality. The Quality Technician will use necessary SAP software transactions, blueprints, and gages to perform the job. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The Quality Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties: 

  • Use of internal & external technical standards and component drawings to determine quality compliance of product for PPAPs, Receiving Inspection Flagged Parts & Inspection Requests 

  • Use of various measurement equipment to inspect product to compliance of standards. 

  • Maintain records and generate reports on inspection of product as required. 

  • Support of sorting suspect non-conforming parts 

  • Supplier 8D processing and review, including supplier communication. 

  • Support of processing Red Tags into Red Cards/Q Notes & RMAs 

  • Applying Quality tools  

  • Design of Experiments 

  • Lean 6? Methodology 

  • 8D reporting and 5-why analysis. 

  • Creating Quality documentation as required 

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)  
  • Critical Thinking Skills 
  • Good MS Office and Excel Skills 
  • Ability to work as a team

  • This position is responsible for assisting the QC group to complete necessary activities to conduct sampling and test cottonseed for quality standards in raw and processed forms.
  • Key emphasis will be placed on performing tests which may include but not limited to: Sampling, Moisture, Temperature, Free Fatty Acid, Genetic Purity, Visual Mechanical Damage, Adventitious Presence, Seed Count, pH, Seed Appearance, Warm and Cool Germinations, Data Verification and DNA testing.
  • Responsible for maintaining clean work area.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tests for extended time periods following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Majority of testing requires standing at workstations.

Inspections occur throughout our process, from raw material to final inspection of finished goods.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all activities involving quality inspections per approved procedures

• Initiate nonconformance material reports (NCMR)

• First article inspections

• In-process release inspection
