Seeking a Warehouse Supervisor Long-Term Temp to Hire

Lake Forest, CA

Monday-Friday – 8am-5pm 

$25-$30 per hour, depending on experience 

General Accountabilities

  • Supervise warehouse staff in performing daily warehouse duties, shipping, receiving, and distribution in accordance with organizational policies and applicable government laws or regulations.
  • Planning inventory levels and forecasts of customer needs.
  • General warehouse duties include receiving, storing, and shipping products or materials.
  • Prepare and manage inventory using SAP system and other software.
  • Update inventory software for received and shipped orders.
  • Perform quarterly and annual inventory reconciliation and reports.
  • Offload full container loads of incoming shipments.
  • Assist, when needed, in inspecting incoming shipments.
  • Issue shipping instructions, bill of ladings, and provide routing information to truckers.
  • Load processed, inspected product onto trucks for shipment to customers.
  • Work with Sales Coordinator team and Imports department regarding shipments and warehouse schedule.
  • Schedule or monitor air/ surface pickup, delivery, or distribution of products or materials.
  • Develop and document standard and emergency operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, shipping, or scrapping products or materials.
  • Develop or implement plans for facility modification or expansion, such as changes in space allocation or structural design.
  • Maintain a clean warehouse clear of any obstructions, hazardous material, and potential dangers to all employees.
  • Conduct quarterly inventory cycle count for all stock items.
  • Maintain a daily safety log for forklift and other equipment used in warehouse.
  • Perform quarterly safety routines in warehouse checking all exits, fire extinguishers, hazards, and potential danger

Job Requirements:

Job Qualifications

  • Experience: At least 4 years of experience as warehouse or logistics.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, not required.
  • Experience working with electronics or technology preferred

1st shift

Ensure all corporate policies and procedures regarding employees’ health and safety are consistently administered and followed.

Manager our water treatment room and procedure to release water to city as required by law

Performs building maintenance as needed such as: cleaning, plumbing, parking lot cleaning, snow plow, and law care as needed to maintain overall buildings

Establishes or adjusts maintenance plans and procedures to meet production schedules, using knowledge of capacities and machines and equipment

Lead weekly maintenance meeting and maintain data mined from meeting

Open/close arm/disarm building and security system

Adhere to MIOSHA standards, follow QMS, EMS systems while performing work

Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

Basic skill and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, machinery, and electronic maintenance and repair

Knowledge of CNC operation, machine rigging, and material handling

Able to lift up to 50 lbs and move, push, pull up to 150 lbs throughout an 8-10 hour shift

High school diploma or GED

4 years of additional training or education preferred

10 or more years of experience in manufacturing building maintenance, specifically in construction, mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and plumbing

We have a direct hire opening for a Maintenance Supervisor in Mukilteo at a company that specializes in wood, pellet and gas fireplaces. This is a 1st shift opening!

In this role, manage 3-4 Maintenance Technicians in a sheet metal environment, schedule preventative maintenance to reduce downtime, keep accurate records, and resolve various issues within the maintenance department.

Direct Hire Opportunity – Be on our client’s payroll from Day 1!

Pay & Schedule:

  • Salary: $38- $45/hour
  • 1st shift: 6 am-2:30 pm; Monday-Friday with occasional overtime when requested
  • Benefits: Medical, vision, dental, 401K (with employer match up to 4%, fully vested after 7 years), and PTO (1.6 hours of vacation earned every 40 hours, 7 paid holidays)

Job Duties of the Maintenance Supervisor:

  • Manage 3-4 Maintenance Mechanics in a shop that has machines that make parts from sheet metal
  • Enforce company policies, rules, and expectations regarding employee behavior and performance
  • Motivate the maintenance team with your leadership style and delegate tasks efficiently
  • Keep accurate records of employee issues, performance problems, and policy violations
  • Diagnose problems with machinery/equipment that is hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical
  • They have various types of CNC machinery and equipment, including mills, fiber optic & Co2 laser cutting machines, material tower distribution systems, turret punch machinery, brake press, heater/chillers, HEM saws, Haeger PEM presses, drill presses, and more.
  • Work with standard, all phase industrial electrical 110/220/480 volts
  • Communicate with various venders, machine representatives and outside subcontractors

 

Job Requirements:

Job Requirements of the Maintenance Supervisor:

  • 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Have previous supervisory or managerial experience
  • Troubleshoot pneumatics, hydraulics, and shield gas systems of all different types
  • Possess conflict resolution skills to handle any disagreements or problems between staff members
  • Have your own tools with a tool box
  • Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word is required
  • Experience with MIG, stick, oxyacetylene torch, and plasma cutting processes (Preferred)

The Inventory Control Supervisor directs the Inventory Control team and is responsible for conducting daily cycle counts, adjustments to inventory levels, review of daily shorts, expiration reports, damages, inventory rotation and quality issues.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily activities with logistics and production personnel.
  • Follow daily cycle counts as requested by upper management.
  • Record inventory data on a computer.
  • Receive count and verify incoming orders.
  • Label stock items with labeling equipment such as identification tags.
  • Process damaged or defective stock.
  • Report malfunctioning or damaged stock-handling equipment to management.
  • Document discrepancies between inventory records and physical counts.
  • Ensures product and inventory are located into designated areas.
  • Maintaining inventory integrity through attention to detail and regularly performed audits.
  • Transferring units from Warehouse Inventory to the Repair Department and back as needed.
  • Maintaining high levels of ethical standards to protect customer data and property.
