Compounding Team Lead (1st Shift)

Pay: $25–$30/hour

Overview

We’re seeking a hands-on Compounding Team Lead to oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensure production quality and safety standards, and drive team performance in a fast-paced environment.

This is a demanding leadership position with 24-hour departmental responsibility, requiring full ownership of operations, performance, and results. In-depth knowledge of compounding processes is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote a safe work environment and OSHA/EHS compliance
• Assign and prioritize workload to meet production targets, throughput, and efficiency goals
• Ensure quality control standards and accurate execution of processes
• Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and support employee development
• Lead training for production staff on processes, procedures, and policies
• Audit compliance with SOPs (standard operating procedures) and work instructions
• Maintain accurate production data, reporting, and system entries
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and problem resolution
• Provide leadership support, including cross-shift coordination as needed

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial leadership roles
• Compounding experience in plastics, polymers, or metal injection molding (MIM) preferred
• Strong skills in team leadership, scheduling, and workflow management
• Ability to read and interpret production reports and KPIs
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Basic computer skills (ERP systems experience a plus)
• Exceptional attendance required and flexibility for extended hours, including after-hours, weekends, and holidays
