ResourceMFG has a great opportunity for 1st and 2nd Shift Production Mechanic opening within a cosmetic manufacturing company in Chatsworth, CA.
Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 + DOE
Shifts: 1st shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm / 2nd shift, 2:30pm – 11:00pm (overtime is required and some weekends)
Full-time/Direct hire opportunity with company.
Position Description
Install, maintain and troubleshoot various production equipment including but not limited to Un-scrambler, Pacific Rotary Filler, inline Fillers, Norden Tube fillers, Resina-Cappers, Label Machines, inkjet Coders, Conveyors, Pumps with a sound knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, electric and automation systems. Performs the Preventive Maintenance, Scheduled Maintenance, Change overs, equipment rebuilds and support production to ensure quality and efficiency. Also requires the basic Fabrication skills and knowledge of shop equipment .Must have experience using hand tools and power tools. Strong Knowledge of Lock Out/ Tag Out and GMP . Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with company policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
Job Requirements:
Must have the ability to:
• Change over, troubleshoot, repair and maintain complex mechanical equipment, Controls and Piping distribution systems in accordance with GMPs and SOPs.
• Understand, follow and perform accurately all calculations and instructions written in changeover and set-up procedures
• Work in a high stress environment with multiple priorities and with very little supervision.
Essential Functions
• Install, maintain, trouble-shoot, repair and rebuild un-scramblers, Fillers, Cappers, Crimpers, Label M/c, Inkjet Coders, Conveyors and other packaging machines.
• Perform line change overs and set ups based on production schedule and also updates and validate set up sheets.
• Build transfer lines, connect pumps and perform washout and sanitization of filling system by following company’s standard operating procedures.

Heavy Equipment Operator Job Duties:
- Operate and maintain various types of heavy equipment including loaders, backhoes, graders, and water trucks
- Perform tasks such as grading, bulldozing, and trenching.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure equipment is operated in a safe manner
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment

- Mechanical skills to use the heavy machinery and equipment that is used regularly on construction sites.
- Physical strength when performing heavy labor that is required from construction workers such as lifting materials.
- Physical stamina in order to handle the long hours of performing strenuous work during the day in hot or cold weather.
- The above listed duties require periods of standing, walking, climbing, stooping, and bending as well as periodic lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Forklift Operator Duties:
- Drives a sit-down propane style forklift to move product
- Work with warehouse management system (WMS) to load trucks in a timely/accurately manner.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins.
- Prepares orders for shipment
- Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments
- Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet requirements.
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.

- Effectively communicate verbally and in written format
- Promote open communication within the team and to leadership
- Assists leadership with employee development through recognition, performance reviews/feedback, coaching, training, and correction action
- Works closely with the Maintenance the team to monitor all equipment
- Perform daily titrations and ensure chemicals are at the correct concentration
- Monitors daily Behavioral Observations of Safety completion and conducts risk assessments with the team when necessary
- Fosters a safe working environment, immediately communicates and addresses safety concerns with the entire team, and ensures adherence to safety standards
