JOB DUTIES

  • Provide first article, in-process and final inspections supporting manufacturing needs to the appropriate engineering and specifications.
  • Operate and maintain the CMM.
  • Perform an assortment of inspections including First Article, in-process, and final inspections using standard measuring equipment for determining product quality and completing the required paperwork indicating the results once the inspection is completed.
  • Make educated decisions when accepting or rejecting products based on the applicable specifications and engineering.
  • Documenting inspection results according to GCA policy and procedures including controlling the whereabouts and identification of nonconforming products discovered during the inspection process.
  • Documenting his/her time and on jobs inspected using JobBoss.
  • Prioritizing his/her inspection workload to support the overall organization’s goals as well as reduce and identify potential risks of potential production stoppages.
  • Work with manufacturing personnel to explain and resolve issues discovered to be nonconforming at the time of the inspection.
  • Responsible for operating and maintaining the Zeiss G2 CMM Machine with fluency in GD & T, Calypso, and Catia annotation.

SUMMARY

Performs inspection of parts and related functions of in-process plastic injection molding operations to ensure conformance to Company standards and customer specifications. Develops, documents and implements improved inspection methods depending on quality needs. This is a skilled quality position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Develops inspection procedures to improve quality control at the molding machine level;

Works from complicated instructions, both verbal and written;

Performs defect root cause analysis and prepares CAPA reports per customer guidelines;

Conducts receiving, in-process, and final inspections per established procedures;

Compiles data and generates a variety of inspection reports such as Non-Conforming Materials Reports (NCMR), Returned Material Authorization (RMA), inspection logs, Line Clearance forms, and attribute data;

Measures and inspects parts using precision gages, meters, and instruments; Reads complicated blueprints and design drawings to determine part specifications;

Works with the engineering team to develop in-process gaging methods to improve quality checks at the molding machine level.

 

Demonstrated knowledge of production processes and procedures;

Knowledge and understanding of various quality inspection techniques and methods;

Demonstrated skill in reading complicated blueprints and drawings of production parts; Demonstrated effective organizational and communication skills, both oral and written;

Role Accountabilities:

  • Must have 480v up to 4160 and 3 Phase
  • Testing on Energized 480v+ Equipment
  • Perform production line acceptance testing including insulation tests and function tests.
  • Ability to work from instructions, schematics is a must
  • Troubleshoot and provide results in a timely fashion
  • Record test results and complete test reports/paperwork per instructions/procedures.
  • Testing Equipment to include - multi-meters, power analyzers, oscilloscopes
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. on a regular basis, and occasionally up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to handle large gauge cables.
  • Good communication skills and ability to function in a team environment with limited supervision.
  • • Excellent people skills to include collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.

Manufacturing company is looking for a QA Inspector for a 2nd shift position in the City of Chatsworth, CA.

  • PAY: $20.00 PER HOUR
  • SHIFT: 1ST SHIFT
  • HOURS: 1PM – 1AM (Overtime is mandatory)

Position Summary:

To ensure the highest quality standards are maintained in the Manufacture and Packaging
of products.

Primary Responsilbities:

  • Performs and documents a wide variety of inspections, checks, and sampling
    procedures during the production process
  • Performs and documents environmental monitoring sampling procedures during and
    prior to the production process.
  • Inspects and approves equipment, material and products at different stages of
    production
  • Records observations for improving processes or non-compliances based on current
    standard operating procedures and practices
  • Receives, identifies, and collects samples of incoming raw materials, components, and
    finished products and reviews shipments against Bill of Lading, packing slips,
    inspection paperwork, as well as certificate of analysis or compliance
  • Inspects and verifies outgoing shipments for accuracy
  • Releases and issues labels for production
  • Performs line clearance and inspects processing area for removal of all previous
    product, components and foreign materials.
  • Monitors the equipment to ensure proper operation and calibration
  • Monitors all aspects of the manufacturing/packaging operations and reports non conformances to the Supervisor or Manager
  • Performs line checks and AQLs as required by batch record and on the job training.
  • Reviews documentation to assure accuracy
  • Maintains all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner
  • Keep management apprised of any condition that may impact production
  • Provides customer service support as needed to customers and other company team members
  • Follows established department SOP’s, Company cGMPs, and all instructions, whether verbal or written
  • Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations
  • Maintains a safe work environment and functions in a safe manner
  • Performs other duties, job related or otherwise, as assigned

Job Requirements:

 

• High School education (HS Diploma or GED preferred)

• Experience in food/pharmaceutical/nutraceutical processing operations, FDA regulated industry, or combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to successful perform the job (preferred) • Able to read, write, and speak in English

• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, rounding)

• Strong computer skills, including keyboarding and working knowledge of MS Office

• Organized and detail oriented

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Ability to maintain a positive, professional, cooperative demeanor

• Ability to foster productive working relationship with management, coworkers, vendors and customers

• Ability to interpret, comply with, and support Company policies, procedures, work rules, and protocols • Knowledge of products specifications, including how products should run during manufacturing process

• Ability to adapt effectively to workplace changes and new job duties/responsibilities

• Ability to represent the Company in a positive and professional manner at all times
