Job Opening: 2nd Shift Mill Operator

Job Summary

The Mill Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and precise operation of milling and processing machinery used to clean, sort, grind, and package dry edible beans and pulses (such as pinto beans, black beans, lentils, and chickpeas). This role ensures that all raw agricultural products are processed into high-quality finished goods while meeting strict food safety and production standards.

Core Responsibilities & Duties

Machine Operation: Set up, monitor, and adjust specialized milling equipment, including pre-cleaners, de-stoners, gravity tables, sizing screens, and splitters.

Quality Control: Continuously inspect bean flow for quality, color, and size uniformity;pull representative product samples to grade material and identify defects.

Material Handling: Safely unload incoming trucks or rail cars into designated storage silos; monitor and manage internal bin routing to prevent product mixing.

Grinding & Milling (if applicable): Control grinding rollers and sifting systems to reduce beans into specific flour or powder consistencies based on strict product specifications.
