The Layout Inspector is responsible for performing precision inspections and verifications of machined and fabricated parts to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards.

This role plays a critical part in maintaining quality assurance by utilizing advanced measuring tools and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).

• Interpret and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles in verifying part accuracy.

• Read and analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with design specifications.

• Document inspection results and generate reports detailing findings, deviations, and necessary corrective actions.

• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and recommend process improvements.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company quality control procedures. 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay is $25-28 Hourly Depending on Experience

Schedule: M-F 7am-3:30pm w/OT Saturday 7am-12noon

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in precision inspection, layout inspection, or quality control in a manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and interpreting GD&T.

• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.

• Experience with CMM programming and operation is a plus.

• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including both cold and hot environments.

Forklift experience is a plus but not required; training can be provided for the right candidate

• Performs routine organization and moving of parts with accuracy

• Pull parts for kits and put parts way correctly

• May pull parts in yard with ability to a pallet jack

• Transferring stock inside the facility

• Ability to do repetitive tasks with consistent accuracy and quality

Pay $18.00 Hourly Hours Monday to Friday 7AM-3:30PM

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 40 lbs.).

Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Comfortable working outdoors in both cold and hot weather.
