  • Ensure compliance of our OSHA, USDA, FDA, SQF, an HAACP policies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including respect and compliance for GMP’s and SOP’s.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality throughout the production process and address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
  • Utilize SAP and other software to perform transaction functions for materials flow. Trains new and existing team members on the operation of all PC’s, software, relevant PLC interfaces, and instrumentation, the importance of following work instructions, and provides documentation of training.
  • Leads and coordinates employee element of assigned work group(s) to maximize efficiency. This includes activities such as hiring of staff, corrective actions, annual review process, training, coaching, counseling, conflict resolution, and other discipline of staff.
  • Empower employees to effectively perform their tasks independently at the expected level by ensuring that the necessary knowledge, training, and tools have been provided while developing training tools where needed.
  • Promote and engage in a culture of safety.
  • Will help the site implement new equipment, develop SOP’s, and complete product qualification steps on new equipment.
  • Participate in developing production schedules at weekly scheduling meeting. Schedules and coordinates the daily activities of the operators to meet production processing and adherence to plan requirements.
  • Participates in process troubleshooting and HAACP teams for continuous improvement of existing and new process equipment.
  • Reports all equipment and instrumentation malfunctions immediately for repair and assists in trouble shooting and diagnosing problems to ensure timely repair. Initiates maintenance work orders.
  • Continually ensures and oversees the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the equipment, area sanitation, and housekeeping procedures to ensure compliance with established internal programs and regulatory codes.
  • Manage waste and ensure efficient use of materials
  • Maintain communication between employees and senior management to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood.
  • Maintains production tracking records, reports, and spreadsheets to provide information and data for monthly reporting of production efficiency and monthly KPI’s.
  • Responsible for the scheduling of all production personnel, approving vacation requests, and arranges for coverage. Posts the weekly schedule for employees, updates schedules and time off requests daily. Updates HR manager with any time discrepancies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to listen effectively, respond appropriately, and maintain mutual comfort level while relating to a diverse workforce.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment.
  • Experience with SAP is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Required to understand and follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Required to understand and follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all guards and safety equipment have been installed and properly checked.
  • Required to understand and follow work procedures as set forth by all ISO documentation.
  • Required to perform daily safety inspections per lift per shift.
  • Use pallet-jack, staple gun, paper machine, bubble machine, weigh scale, banding equipment, and shrink-wrap machine to package merchandise for shipment.
  • Use wireless RF gun (SAP) to scan every location and every box/pallet, to pick, pack, and ship customer orders.
  • Safely operate stand up reach, high bay order picker to pick and load trucks.
  • Work overtime as needed to maintain customer service.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with co-workers, line lead, team leader, supervisor, and manager.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
  • Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality, 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18001 verification requirements.
  • Requires regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisor.
  • Responsible to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.

Job Requirements:

Skill Requirement:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent, desired.
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within manufacturing environment.
  • Certified for proper use and maintenance of lift trucks.
  • Must be able to use Oracle and understand priority scheduling system.
  • Must be self-motivated to work quickly and accurately with little supervision.
  • Must be able to work closely with others in a fast paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs in a safe manner.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motion. Examples: walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more with the ability to judge depth and space relationships and bring object into sharp focus.
  • Must be able to accurately recognize and translate numbers without transposing.
  • Exposure to machine noise levels (hearing protection required in manufacturing only).
  • Exposure to heavy equipment or components needed to produce product (safety toed shoes required).
  • Exposure to electrical and mechanical moving parts.
