What You’ll Do:

The Assembler is responsible for basic, manual tasks related to assembling industrial HVAC units. Tasks can include building basic subassemblies using hand tools (wrenches, hammers, pliers and drills), installing high-temp padding (either cut with retractable knife or using a simple spot welder), and assisting in installation of components for the unit (fans, shafts, dampers, etc.). After training, this position will build smaller HVAC units. Assignments will typically be overseen by the more experienced Assemblers in the area. The tasks that make up this job will be taught to a new Assembler.

The Panel Builder is responsible for building custom electrical panels to be installed in industrial HVAC equipment. This includes mounting electrical devices (transformers, drives, etc.) to a backplate using hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches), running wire between the devices using hand tools (wire cutters and strippers) and labeling each wire during the build. A typical panel takes 8 hours to build. The layout of each panel is shown on a set of electrical prints. The process of panel building, as well as the specifics of reading an electrical print, will be taught to a new Panel Builder. 

Duties and Responsibilities of the Job 

• Conducts First Off Last Off checks. 

• Complete Process Parameter Checklist, communicate out-of-tolerance results to Production Supervisors and lead corrective action activities with support from the Quality Engineer. 

• Summarize Process Parameter performance. 

• Complete Receiving Inspection per Work Instructions. 

• Complete Dock Audits per Work Instructions.

• Maintain Calibrations per QSI Calibration database. 

• Complete testing per Work Instructions. 

• Completes forms, recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data.

• Assist in training new operators to WI’s and customer specification requirements.  

• Adhere to ISO 14001 requirements

• Adhere to IATF 16949 requirements. 

• Overtime is sometimes required which may include weekends. 

• Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs overhead as needed. 

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Skills preferred to perform the job

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental health & safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.

Job Description: Supply all work stations with material needed to run including empty containers for finish product. Put finished product in designated area with the correct labels. Empty trash and dumpsters when needed into compactor. Other duties may be assigned.   

Dress Code Policy: Jeans, t-shirts, basketball shorts, fingertip length shorts, capris, leggings, and sweatpants are permissible. Rubber soled shoes only, steel toed boots are not required. Tank tops or shirts that cut off at the shoulder are not allowed. Dangling jewelry is not allowed. Long hair must be pulled back.
