The role is to provide field support to our clients. This includes commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, or retrofit of the mechanical and electrical systems of a project. This position is responsible for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment, as well as controls, communications, computers, where called upon, and for the documentation of these procedures. The position requires close interface with the Quality Department, Project Engineers and Project Managers, Process Engineer, client personnel, and with other Field Engineers and Service Technicians.
Key Job Responsibilities:
*Startup, preventative maintenance, and service of vertical turbine pumps and split coupled inline pumps. *Startup, preventative maintenance, and service of Cooling Towers (Evapco, Kelvion, Marley, SPX)
*Startup, preventative maintenance, and service of Centrifugal Chillers (Trane, York, McQuay, Smardt)
*Startup and troubleshooting variable frequency drives (Eaton and Allen-Bradley)
*Install and repair power distribution systems including electric motors, motor control centers, and variable speed drives
*Close interface with other Field Engineers, Project Engineers, and Project managers, with the mechanical and electrical engineers, with service technicians, and with the client’s personnel
*Assist the Production Department in assembly, or in training of factory personnel
*Compile O&M information
*Assist in compilation of the final sets of IOM manuals
*Create legible “red-line” drawings to submit to Project Manager
*Responsible for trouble-shooting all mechanical and electrical equipment
*Assist in Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions
*Will possibly perform or oversee QC checks

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary.
- Mix and apply paint, varnish, and other coatings using spray guns and other equipment.
- Operate and maintain paint booth equipment, including spray guns, compressors, and ventilation systems.
- Inspect finished products for quality and touch up any imperfections.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

JOB SUMMARY:
Performs various skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the repair and maintenance of machinery, buildings, and equipment. Under some guidance, determines work methods and procedures. Receives assignments orally or through written instructions, which may be accompanied by sketches or diagrams.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performs maintenance duties, grounds and building maintenance and repair work.
- Assists with the installation of electrical conduit, wiring, switching devices, controls, outlets, fixtures, motors, and other such equipment.
- Assists with the testing and maintenance of equipment using instruments such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, pyrometers, and pressure gauges.
- Performs skilled maintenance activities including construction, welding, brazing, soldering, and plumbing.
- Utilizes a wide variety of hand and portable power tools.
- Checks and repairs pumps, fans, valves, and motors.
- Conducts preventative maintenance inspections and performs required preventative maintenance actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter change and the like.
- Assists in the movement of furniture, materials and equipment as required.
- Reports needs for major repairs to Production Manager.
- Responsible for the security of the building under the supervision of the Safety Manager.
- Prepares accurate records for preventative maintenance.
- Assists with the troubleshooting of equipment at the component level.
