About the position:

Operate CNC HAAS Milling machine, CNC Lathe Okuma 10 & Okuma 10 SS and Okuma 12 with OSB 300 L Control (Okuma 10SS and 12 running with sub spindle live tooling). Our machines are 3-Axis, 4- Axis and 5-Axis, working with aluminum, plastic and stainless steel to make simple parts.

Job Duties include, but not limited to:

• Set up and tear down a work order on a CNC Machine.

• Responsible for in process inspection (utilizing calipers, micrometers)

• Responsible for making adjustments to offsets, and program as needed to maintain tolerances.

• Must be able to work off of blueprints

• Must be able to accurately use shop math in checking parts.

• Perform basic maintenance to the machines (clean and maintain, no mechanical repairs – weekly and monthly coolant maintenance)

• Maintain the machine within the scope of its ability.

• You will be expected to help around the shop with deburring, tapping, etc. as needed to keep parts moving

• Maintain all paperwork associated with producing the part and maintaining company records.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position operates within the scope of testing equipment and communicating with customers through acceptance testing and field service for oil and gas. The test supervisor will be overseeing the process of operating and testing fracking, coil tubing, and cementing equipment. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

This position is responsible for all the following:

  • Work every scheduled workday including weekends and overtime as required.
  • Always understand and comply with all PPE requirements, work safely every day and encourage all team members to do the same.
  • Perform all tasks per established quality and efficiency standards.
  • Follow action and communication protocols for nonstandard deviation in processes or materials.
  • Review and approve time and attendance in a timely manner.
  • Manage and verify for completion of group and individual training.
  • Provide disciplinary actions as required.
  • Manage and verify build book and test documentation completion.
  • Work and plan daily with other department supervisors for an efficient transition of equipment from one department to the other.
  • Verify that all procedures that have been implemented are being complete in the time frame required.
  • Confirm that all equipment is complete and tested to the test plan.
  • Work with Electronics Specialist to keep testing running according to plan.
  • Communicate to engineering of any changes need to test document.
  • Plan and work to the test plan from Start-Up through Customer Acceptance Test.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.

 Prepare parts at different stages of the machining process: cut, debur, polish, grind, smooth, buff – aluminum parts. Must have experience and be competent with hand and power tools that are used to smooth burrs and the sharp edges of aluminum parts.

  • Metal cleaning: Clean different types of metal (mostly aluminum) with chemical cleaners.

Job Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Company is looking for Grind Operators to assist in their Machine Shop. 

Hours: 2:30pm – 11:00pm 

Training is done on 1st Shift. 

Pay: $18.00 per hour 

Temp to Hire! 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate up to the required number of production grinding machines within the assigned area; to produce parts to very close dimensional tolerances and finish specifications

Refer to drawings and Shop Orders for specified dimensions, tolerances and number of parts to be run. Follow established procedures and verbal instructions to operate machines. May begin to learn set ups.

Load part(s) into parts feeder or loading chute; cycle machine or engage automatic feed. Verify dimensions of ground workpiece(s) for conformance to specification using preset gauges; make adjustments to correct variances.

Visually or through the use of a microscope, inspect condition of surface finish on part(s).

May replace worn grinding wheels using wrenches and activate preset dressing devices to dress wheels to achieve required finish.

Work subject to process inspection. Use care to recognize defective wheels, machine malfunctions, and dimensional deviations.

Reads, references and interprets written and verbal instructions; always following established standard procedures and certified processes.

Assist with training of operators and set-up personnel, as required.

Maintains established production levels and quality standards.

Recognize and report any irregularities as to defective parts, finishes, work techniques and/or quality of workmanship.

Maintain all necessary documentation in a clear and accurate manner, including paperwork and job reporting transactions as required.

Maintains necessary records; work is subject to audited inspections.

Handle parts according to established procedures.

Follow all prescribed safety rules and regulations.

Keeps work area clean and orderly including promptly reporting to Team Lead any oil/coolant leaks and/or spills

Performs related duties as assigned by leadership.

Job Requirements:

  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Fluent English speaking/understanding (Mid-Level okay)
  • Stable employment history over the past few years
  • No major employment gaps without an explanation
  • Ability to complete a grade level math assessment
