Job Description:

The Pipe Fitter fabricates natural gas fueled gas train assemblies and burners for industrial HVAC units. Using drawings, the Pipe Fitter assembles steel pipe and pipe fittings to various components (such as gauges, valves and regulators) to make a gas train. The Pipe Fitter fabricates burners by stick welding burner pieces together. The Pipe Fitter installs the finished burners and gas trains into the HVAC units using various hand tools such as pipe wrenches, hole saws, and drills. The Pipe Fitter also operates a drill presses and pipe threader for his or her work. The detail steps of fabricating gas trains and burners will be taught to a new Pipe Fitter, however, MIG welding experience is required.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or any combination equivalent to high school.

Basic understanding of MIG welding is required.

Proficient in pipe fitting heating/cooling systems preferred.

• Review, update, create standard operation procedure for sales process
• Assist in a variety of advanced routine, non-routine tasks by consulting with account rep or management and general supervisor
• Through empowerment of management, resolve routine problems with minimal supervision.
• Communicate work with internal/external customer about daily shipments, order related issues and other day to day activities.
• Collect data and update KPI sheets for sales within the required due date
• Conduct standardized tasks such as creating purchase orders, checking available quantity, inventory levels, running report, updating cost/price sheet, and month end analysis tools.
• Accurately update and maintain forms, spread sheets and other data entry tracking formats.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Intermediate to advanced excel skills preferred.  Proficient use of pivot tables, formulas, V-look up, and able to convert raw data into charts or graphs.
• At least one year in an office role where frequent use of Excel was part of the position's responsibility.

• Ability to read, interpret and analyze information at a proficient level required to perform the requirements of the position.
• Well developed written and verbal communication skills to effectively perform tasks and convey information.
• Willingness to learn and be coachable. This position will grow your skills in areas you may not have been exposed to in prior roles.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Sets up, maintains, and operates the laser.
• Performs daily machine startup and shutdown procedures as necessary on laser equipment.
• Stages raw materials at workstation for the day’s productions and plans sequence of operations by reviewing blueprints to ensure precision.
• Loads and unload machines.
• Ensures production schedule follow-through as determined by the CAD Department.
• Assists in loading and unloading team members’ machines when production requires additional manpower to maintain production standards.
• Performs minor maintenance and cleaning of cutting equipment and work area in accordance with the company standards and manufacturers machine recommendations.
• Checks parts to ensure they are meeting the company’s standards before moving to the next department.
• Follows company, state, and federal safety regulations. This includes wearing proper protective equipment and keeping work area clean and well-organized.
