  1. Read engineering drawings, other work and specification documents and understand what they are reading.
  2. Work from a laptop with ease moving thru the file system and Microsoft Office 365 on all platforms most importantly including Access, Outlook, and Word
  3. Communicate in Teams and business emails NOT phone text slang.
  4. Use a digital camera and take clear photos, upload and edit photos
  5. Use hand tools, (drills , hammers, screwdrivers, etc.)
  6. Count and understand numbers without mixing up order – Accuracy is paramount.
  7. Work with chemicals and microscopic testing.
  8. Use a hoist to help lift heavy parts and be safety minded when rigging the parts to lift them.  Since they must use the engineering drawing to get the correct lifting device, it is imperative that they know how to read prints to avoid severe injury or possibility of fatality.

The QA Plant Monitor/Truck Sampler-De-linter is responsible for assisting the Quality Control group to conduct plant monitoring testing on cottonseed for quality standards in raw and processed forms.

Job Duties:

  • Key emphasis will be placed on performing quality checks which may include but not limited to: Truck Sampling, Sample De-Linting, Acid Percentage, Dryer Temperature, Buffer Temperature, Bushel Weights, pH, Cleanout Percentages, Seed Count, Tare Analysis, Seed Appearance, Bag Analysis, Calibration of Scales, and Down Time Coding.
  • Perform inspections on packaged finished product to verify standards are met.
  • Assist with variety cleanouts.
  • Enter data on Plant Monitoring Spreadsheet. Report any deviations of quality parameters.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tests for extended time periods following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI).
  • Ability to work near/with other workers on daily basis.
  • Responsible for maintaining clean work area.
  • Follow safe work practices.
  • Majority of testing requires standing and walking for periods of time in an industrial and warehouse setting.
  • Contact with industrial equipment such as Delinter, Dryer, Buffer, Cleaner, Gravity Tables, Seed Tanks, Shakers, Conveyors, Baggers, Scales, Palletizer, Wrapper, Forklifts, Trucks, and Loading Ramp.
  • Utilization of lab equipment to include: Temperature Probe, pH Meter, Beakers, Distilled Water, Buffers, Scales, Bushel Weight Apparatus, and Seed Counter.
  • Individuals will work primarily in an industrial/warehouse and or lab environment.

Responsibilities

Responsible for performing inspections on packaged materials, and finished goods per approved methods, procedures and specifications. Incoming packaging inspectors’ interface with purchasing and packaging engineer and in some cases customers and vendors to resolve quality issues with incoming packaging.
Finished goods inspectors interact with all levels of production management in assuring that finished goods meet required quality standards.
Duties

• Inspect and ensure line readiness for setup. Follow through on start-up and lab approval
• Document line inspections; provide dispositions on results of inspections.
• Accurately complete all Quality Assurance forms.
• Issue QMR’s (Questionable Materials Report) as required.
• Inspect packaging and/or finished products quality to meet specifications.
• Visually inspect components to meet work order specifications.
• Check weights and torques to meet range specifications.
• Collect and distribute microbiological samples. Collect line samples for testing and customer submission (line inspectors only)
• Submit samples from packaging inspections as required for development of masters, resolution of quality holds (incoming packaging inspectors only)
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 1 year QA experience highly preferred.
• 3 years of work experience (including 1 year QA) in lieu of High School Diploma or GED acceptable.
• Ability to communicate, write, and read in English.
• Must be able to use standard measuring equipment, including but not limited to: torque meters, vacuum chambers, balance calipers and bar coders.
• Basic computer literacy skills in Office Standard Microsoft Word, Excel and MRPII manufacturing systems.

Print Services Contractor will be working for a leading Oil & Gas company in Northwest San Antonio.

Position Summary: Operates printing and binding machinery to create booklets, tags, banners, posters, and signage on various materials/products. Provides attention to detail, ensuring efficient and high-quality production of printed materials. Work involves sitting, standing, and/or moving, includes exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently.

Job Duties

  • Operates all bindery equipment on print projects requiring finishing, such as cutting, scoring, folding, punching, saddle stitching, collating, perforating, gluing, and binding materials.
  • Coordinates with Team Associates, Supervisor, and/or Manager regarding scheduling and setting daily job priorities.
  • Assists with packaging and shipping of products.
  • Assists other Facility & Admin Services departments as required.
  • Completes work order assignments or daily duties as assigned.
  • Ability to work overtime and/or weekends, sometimes on short notice, as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Ability to abide by confidentiality requirements when working with sensitive information, results, and communications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal methods.
  • Ability to accomplish work within required timelines, including short, long, and emergency time frames.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments to ensure completion of tasks within stated time requirements.

Shift Hours are 8 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon. Monday – Friday.

Under general supervision, the Machine Operator for IMS Production will perform the duties of inspecting and packaging of parts.

Duties:

• Perform repetitive machine operations on assigned machines/equipment within the Slitting dept that require an entry-level knowledge of processes, operations and machines.

• Start, stop and feed assigned machine/equipment, and identify and report imperfect operations.

• Accurately maintain appropriate production documentation.

• Perform preventative maintenance and autonomous maintenance to ensure equipment is maintained in safe and efficient operating condition in order to adhere to production/process specifications.

• Maintain safe, clean and environmentally friendly work area (adhere to all safety and section rules, regulations and guidelines).
