Pay: $20/hr.-$26/hr. depending on experience

Self-motivated individual with strong leadership skills, analytical skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and awesome communication & interpersonal skills. 

  • Dependable individual with an excellent work ethic and the ability to stand/walk during the entire shift. 
  • Must be willing to learn and have the ability to be coached. 
  • Previous?Gantry Style, Swiss Style, and/or Mill/Turn Style lathe?operation preferred. 
  • Min. 2 years of any CNC operation, experience operating?Murata and/or Star machinery a plus 
  • Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools, calipers and micrometers, etc. 
  • Understanding of production procedures. 
  • Experience in geometric tolerancing along with the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals as well as GD&T.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join a custom fabrication environment where no two days are the same. This role requires hands-on experience with precision machining, CNC programming, and tooling repair while holding tight tolerances. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and takes pride in high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze engineering drawings and specifications
  • Set up and operate machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, drill presses, and saws
  • Program and operate HAAS CNC lathes and mills
  • Fabricate and machine tooling from blueprints
  • Repair molds and tooling while maintaining tight tolerances (± .001”)
  • Heat treat steel using shop furnace; machine hardened steel
  • Inspect, clean, and troubleshoot tooling for defects
  • Verify dimensions and alignments using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, dial indicators, gauge blocks, etc.)
  • Repair and maintain fixtures as needed
  • Perform quality checks and respond to production needs in a timely manner
  • Follow all safety guidelines and company policies
  • Take ownership of product quality and accuracy

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 5 years of machinist experience in a similar environment
  • Experience operating manual and CNC equipment
  • Proficient in CNC programming (lathe and mill)
  • Strong understanding of machining processes and production equipment

  • Injection molding experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude (electrical knowledge a plus)

We are seeking a detail-oriented 2D CAD Technician to support our manufacturing and machining operations. This role focuses on creating accurate 2D drawings and toolpaths for production. Experience with BOBCAD is a major plus—it’s our primary software and we know it’s not common, so candidates with strong skills in other CAD/CAM platforms are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce precise 2D CAD drawings for machining and fabrication

  • Create and modify toolpaths for CNC equipment

  • Maintain organized project files and documentation

  • Support occasional 3D printing tasks (experience is a plus, not required)

  • Proficiency in 2D CAD drafting

  • Experience with at least one CAD/CAM software package:

    • BOBCAD (preferred)

    • SolidWorks

    • Onshape

    • Autodesk (AutoCAD, Fusion 360, Inventor, etc.)

    • Mastercam

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings

  • Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with the production team

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with laser cutting, waterjet cutting, or wire EDM

  • Basic understanding of CNC machining workflows

  • Experience with 3D printing (FDM, SLA, or similar)

  • Ability to troubleshoot CAD/CAM issues and optimize toolpaths

• Ability to perform parts inspection, hold drawing tolerances and use measuring tools.

• Ensure correct material type and size used.

• Verifies conformance of finished work-piece to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools as necessary.

• Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts as required.

• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.

• Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.

• Performs routine maintenance tasks on machines as required.

• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain equipment, to keep a nice appearance.

• Ability to solve practical problems.

• Maintain a clean work environment – general housekeeping.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2 to 3+ years of operating experience with CNC Lathes or Mills (multi-axis, dual-spindle, and Y-axis capabilities are highly preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Perform complete CNC mill setups independently
  • Program, edit, and optimize using Mastercam
  • Take jobs from print → program → setup → production
  • Read and interpret prints with tight tolerances and GD&T
  • Select tooling, speeds/feeds, and machining strategies
  • Prove out jobs and ensure repeatability and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot machining and quality issues
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections
