Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CMM Programmer / Quality Technician to join our Quality team in Belleville, MI. This position is responsible for programming and operating CMM equipment, performing dimensional inspections, certifying gauges and fixtures, and supporting quality initiatives in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate CMM equipment using PC-DMIS.
• Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements (ANSI Y14.5).
• Perform part layouts, fixture certifications, and gauge calibrations.
• Conduct capability studies and Gauge R&R studies.
• Compare inspection results to specifications and report discrepancies.
• Assist with PPAP submissions and maintain records in MQ1.
• Use precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures.
• Support continuous improvement efforts and maintain a clean work area.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent technical training preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of CMM programming/operating experience using PC-DMIS.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, SPC, and Gauge R&R.
• Experience with MQ1, QAD, and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Job Title: Test Technician

Department: Systems Manufacturing

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Role Overview:

Systems Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Test Technician to participate in the construction, wiring, and testing of industrial electrical and electronic systems. You will work from engineering blueprints and technical documents to evaluate industrial control panel wiring for errors and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute Tests: Ensure products meet engineering requirements and function satisfactorily.
• Document Results: Analyze, record, and prepare written testing documentation.
• Troubleshoot: Identify and correct machine and process malfunctions.
• Optimize Processes: Implement manufacturing improvements for quality and throughput.
• Equipment & Supplies: Install new machinery and maintain necessary production supplies.
• Safety: Strictly comply with industry safety requirements and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience: 3+ years testing electromechanical control panels, high/low voltage, PLCs, NEC Codes, and UL 508.
• Education: A.S. Degree in engineering science or equivalent experience.
• Certification: Electrical Testing Technician Certification required.
• Skills: Proficient in reading electrical/mechanical schematics, MS Office, and pump station principles.
• Leadership: Prior supervisory experience and a track record of meeting department goals.
• Capability: Willingness to perform hands-on assembly and manage multiple projects.
