Position Summary

In this role, you will support the maintenance and continuous improvement of our Quality Management System while ensuring that products meet stringent aerospace customer and regulatory requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, women-owned small business with major customers.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain quality processes and documentation in compliance with AS9100D and customer-specific requirements. Perform root cause analysis on nonconformances, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and track effectiveness. Conduct internal audits, support external customer and third-party audits. Review and approve engineering changes, first article inspections (FAI per AS9102), and inspection plans.

Support supplier quality activities, including evaluations and performance monitoring. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma tools). Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment. Provide quality training to production staff as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, or related) preferred. Relevant experience may substitute.

2–5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing.

Strong working knowledge of AS9100D, ISO 9001, AS9102 (First Article Inspection), and GD&T.

Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

Blueprint Reading: Interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and schematics to plan layouts and assemble parts accurately.

Quality Control: Inspect welds for defects, grind or wire-wheel excess splatter, and make necessary repairs to meet structural or code standards.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict OSHA guidelines by wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean work area.

Shift & Pay: 

First: 6:00AM-6:00PM OT last 3 hours!

Second: 6:00PM-6:00AM OT last 3 hours!

Job Responsibilities

• Follow safety guidelines
• Follow standard work instructions as assigned
• Perform hands-on tasks
• Lift up to 50lbs, stand, bend, and reach
• Maintain clean and organized workspace
• Troubleshoot equipment issues
• Ensure product meets customer specifications
• Meet production standards
• Work in a team environment
• Accurate recordkeeping and quality documentation
• Inspection of product

Diagnose Problems: Use computerized diagnostic equipment and testing tools to accurately identify mechanical or electrical issues.

Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled car maintenance such as oil changes, fluid flushes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.

Repair & Replace Parts: Tear down, repair, and rebuild faulty mechanical components including brakes, transmissions, sensors, and steering systems.

Testing & Quality Assurance: Test-drive vehicles and operate machinery after repairs to ensure they meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards.

Documentation: Keep detailed, accurate logs of all repairs, parts used, and time spent working on a vehicle.

Customer Service: Explain diagnostic results, repair options, and estimated costs to clients in a clear, professional manner.
