We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mold Change / Set-Up Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, removing, and setting molds in injection molding machines to ensure efficient production start-up and consistent product quality.
This is a critical, hands-on position that directly impacts production uptime and performance. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve setup issues quickly.
Key Responsibilities
- Remove and install molds in injection molding machines
- Set up, adjust, and change over molds and support equipment
- Verify machines and work cells are properly set up before production runs
- Troubleshoot setup issues and help improve processes
- Operate forklift (Hi-Lo) safely to move molds and materials
- Complete setup reports and required documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous manufacturing or mold setup experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Forklift experience or willingness to obtain certification
