Job Requirements
- The ideal Forklift Operator must be dependable and able to handle forklift equipment safely
- Good physical condition,
- Good hand-eye coordination and good motor skills
- Must have prior Forklift Operator experience
- Scanning labels to ensure products are shipped to the right destination
- Drives sit-down and stand-up forklifts, and other industrial vehicles such as cherry-pickers and automated pallet jacks as needed.
- Maintains clean work area.
- Pallet building and pallet picks.
- Loads goods
- Ensures the safe and efficient movement of goods.
- Follows safety regulations and company guidelines.
- Loads and unloads product
- Utilizes radio frequency (RF) scanning equipment to track inventory.
- Shrink wraps goods or otherwise secures them and prepares them for transport.
- Maneuvering forklifts safely in busy industrial environments
- Ensuring that forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions
- Regularly checking forklift equipment
- Uses sit down and stand-up forklifts to stock, pick, and transport pallets of finished products in warehouse, load/unload trucks, transfer products.
- Utilizes computerized system which may include radio frequency to maintain records of product movement in and out of warehouse.
- Checks forklift for safety and smooth operation daily (e.g., fluids, horns, back up lights).
- Performs inventory duties including counting, verifying and checking documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Checks that loads are centered and properly stacked.
- Rotates stock so that oldest items are shipped or sold first.
- Quality assurance (QA) duties, including reporting product damage and shortages.
- Utilizes radio frequency (RF) scanning equipment to track inventory.
- Shrink wraps goods or otherwise secures them and prepares them for transport.
