Job Requirements:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills both electronic and traditional.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project). Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
- SBT – PRO (accounting software) proficiency is a plus. Multi-lingual skills in Spanish are a plus.
- Personable, creative and tenacious with ability to interact with various departments at all levels of the corporation. Ability to remain calm and professionally diffuse difficult situations with customers.
Job Responsibilities
- Represent the Corporation’s quality and capabilities to our Customers in a professional manner, and represent our Customer’s needs and requirements within the Corporation.
- Professionally and accurately administer all Customers’ orders, RFP’s/RFQ’s and RFI’s in such a manner as to provide the customer with quality product, meeting the agreed upon contractual requirements, while at the same time minimizing risk to the Corporation.
- Assure all quotations are substantiated with proper backup; i.e. customer request, corporations’ basis for quotation and actual submittal documentation, negotiation notes and final pricing agreements. Co-ordinate all proposal activity. Create and submit both major and minor business and contractual proposals.
- Exhibit exemplary conduct at all times in dealing with other Newport employees, and any outside contacts. Contribute to a healthy, positive, and safe environment. Promote self as a team member
