Job Opening: CNC Machinist
Description
We have a direct hire opening for a CNC Machinist in Everett at a machine shop that specializes in precision components for the aerospace, defense, and medical industries. 1st or 2nd shift positions are available!
In this role, you will set up and operate CNC machines and machining centers to fabricate precision parts per engineering specifications without supervision.

Salary and Shift Information:
- Pay: $35-$39/hour
- 1st shift: 5 AM-3:30 PM; Monday-Thursday with overtime on Friday as requested
- 2nd shift: 3:20 pm-1:20 am; Monday-Thursday with overtime on Friday as requested

Job Duties of the CNC Machinist:
- Use setup sheets to understand the requirements for each job
- Set up CNC machines for operation, install the appropriate cutting tools and inserts, and load the materials into the machine
- Open the right program and make edits to the program based on the job requirements
- Use tools such as edge finders, indicators, and probes to find machine work offsets
- Set controls to adjust the machine settings such as the cutting speed, material feed rate, coolant distribution, and the depth/angle of cut
- Use precision measuring tools to ensure parts conform to engineering specifications
- Perform a range of machine operations: Turning, milling, drilling, boring, and tapping
- The parts are produced from both metal and plastic materials
Job Requirements of the CNC Machinist:
- Have 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist; using either mills or lathes
- Be able to make edits to CNC programs to correctly produce each part
- Read and interpret engineering and manufacturing drawings to understand dimensions, tolerances, and specifications of the parts
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T
- Knowledge of optimal cutting techniques, speeds, and feeds
- ESPRIT CAD and CAM software for CNC programming (preferred)
- Have an understanding of G&M codes (preferred)
