Quality Technician
Day Shift $20.38-$22.88 DOE
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Technician will be responsible for completion of inspection and measuring various engine components to ensure compliance to quality. The Quality Technician will use necessary SAP software transactions, blueprints, and gages to perform the job.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Quality Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

Use of internal & external technical standards and component drawings to determine quality compliance of product for PPAPs, Receiving Inspection Flagged Parts & Inspection Requests
-
Use of various measurement equipment to inspect product to compliance of standards.

Maintain records and generate reports on inspection of product as required.
-
Support of sorting suspect non-conforming parts
-
Supplier 8D processing and review, including supplier communication.
-
Support of processing Red Tags into Red Cards/Q Notes & RMAs
-
Applying Quality tools
-
Design of Experiments
-
Lean 6? Methodology
-
8D reporting and 5-why analysis.
-
Creating Quality documentation as required
-
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Critical Thinking Skills
- Good MS Office and Excel Skills
- Ability to work as a team
- Basic understanding of technical drawings
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience with reading manufacturing drawings and good understanding of GD&T
- Experience in a manufacturing (assembly) environment
- Experience in Quality Assurance, Lean methodology, or QC education preferred
- Experience with automotive parts
- Basic knowledge of Diesel engines
