ResourceMFG – NOW HIRING: Shipping and Receiving Coordinator – 2nd Shift: 2:00pm to 10:30pm
Job Summary:
The Shipping Coordinator will work closely with the shipping and receiving team to performs semi-routine administrative and clerical activities to prepare, verify and expedite outbound finished goods shipments to customers.
You will work within a timely and accurate manner. They will be customer focused and support operations – you will be detail-oriented person with solid follow through. Thoughtfulness and organization will be key whilst working throughout your varying daily tasks.
Job Duties:
- Works with higher-level shipping coordinators to confirm and print out daily “pick list” for warehouse personnel to pull and prepare outbound finished goods shipments.
- May confirm freight company pick-up times.
- Verifies outbound finished goods against accompanying shipping documents to determine completeness and accuracy. Keeps stock neat and orderly and confirms product quality. Conducts final inspection prior to loading.
- Backs-up warehouse function by generating Packing List and Bill of Lading shipping documents as necessary to complete on-time shipments.
- Completes final check sheets and pictures of each load.
- Completes daily reports of shipments, finished goods shortages and damaged material as required by manager.
- Conducts cycle counts and monthly/term inventories as instructed. Submits repurchase orders variances to Inventory Control for reconciliation.
- Tracks, codes, or marks materials and merchandise using hand-held electronic inventory devices. Ensures accuracy of each scan to maintain inventory integrity in AS400 systems.
- Maintains shipping supplies at warehouse, ensuring sufficient qualities are available to complete daily work.
Perform other administrative related duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 1-2 years of related experience
- High energy, self-motivated and detail-oriented person with import/export experience
- Buford, Georgia – Reliably commute to Customer sites as needed
- English– Reading, Writing, Speaking
- Microsoft Office: 1 year (Required)
- General Office equipment such as phones, copier, computer, printer, and scanner.
- Software includes the use of Windows operating system, and MS Office.
