Pay: $75,000 salary DOE
POSITION SUMMARY:
Oversee management of roasting, grinding, flavoring and packaging activities, including personnel. Direct activities so that products are available to ship on schedule and are within quality standards, food safety standards and cost objectives
KEY DUTIES:
- Assist plant manager and peers in the development and implementation of long and short-range planning, policies, programs and objectives
- Maintain high standards of manufacturing while ensuring that products conform to customer and company quality standards
- Develop, budget and execute departmental staffing and expense spend in line with company forecasts and projection ·Ensure departmental productivity goals are achieved by Overall Equipment Effectiveness and, if required, other productivity management tools
- Direct production activities to achieve roasting and packaging schedule compliance, cost per pound, scrap and other process quality goals
- Direct and monitor department supervisors to accomplish manufacturing goals consistent with established manufacturing, quality and safety procedures
- Effectively communicate policies, procedures and other matters affecting the performance and results of production staff
- Hire, train and develop staff against structured job performance and evaluation criteria
- Report Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) as required for Production.
- Identify and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce cost, scrap and QA hold while maximizing QA rework
- Maintain staffing training and foster skill development
- Coordinate with Maintenance department to minimize downtime during routine or reactive maintenance activities
- Maintain cleanliness and order within Production areas .Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.
- Develop key personnel to become more efficient, effective, and take on more responsibility

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS in industrial, mechanical or business administration, or a 4-year technical degree in related discipline; or equivalent education/experience in the manufacturing field
- Computer proficient
- Experience working with manufacturing based technology, processes and principles is preferred
