Description
Employbridge is looking for a Senior Electrical Estimator /Project Manager in Hamilton, Oh. Who will be responsible for the planning, monitoring, and execution of projects within the company.
Candidate(s) Compensation: $38-$40/hr (based on experience +/-)
Must Haves: 5 yrs experience in relation to estimating or project management and prior Procore Construction Software experience.
Computer & Cell phone to be provided.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage electrical projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Conduct detailed and accurate electrical estimates for projects of varying sizes and complexities.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, allocating resources effectively to meet project milestones.
- Oversee the selection and management of subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to project timelines and quality standards.
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand project scope and requirements.
- Monitor project progress and address any issues that may impact the timeline, cost, or quality of the project.
- Collaborate with the sales team, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to determine project costs and develop competitive bids.
- Prepare and submit detailed and organized bid proposals to clients within specified deadlines.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess work progress, safety compliance, and quality standards.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the most favorable terms and pricing.
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, market conditions, and pricing to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and client.
Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating and/or construction project management.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and industry best practices.
- Experience with estimating software and project management tools.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead project teams.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar is a plus
Hiring Managers have agreed to decrease the minimum 5 yrs experience needed and is looking for at least 2yrs Commercial Construction estimating specifically for electrical installations.
