Company located in Largo is hiring for 1st and 2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic
Job description:
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
Essential Job Functions
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices utilizing hand and power tools. Documents the process so machine can be reassembled correctly.
- Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and machines by using hand and power tools.
- Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop tools and equipment.
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
- Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Prepares maintenance work orders and submits them upon completion of the task.
- Makes repairs to the building and other structures and systems as needed.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Follows correct lockout tagout procedures.
- Contributes to team effort by working with other associates.

Requirements:
- Equipment Maintenance Knowledge, Electrical Knowledge, Technical Understanding, Basic Safety, Power Tools, Attention to Detail, Flexibility.
- Ability to Interpret Electrical Schematics and Technical Drawings, Job Knowledge, Productivity.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat to work on and around machines.
- Climb ladders and utilize powered lifts.
- Lift items weighing up to 75 lbs.
