This Job is with a client in the manufacturing/production industry and is located on the SE side of Tucson off of Kolb and Valencia. Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:00pm Pay:$22.00hr POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: • Clean, evaluate and test irrigation control electronics and circuit boards for proper functionality. • Troubleshoot, repair, or replace circuit components that have failed or are operating outside of specification. • Thoroughly track and document repaired circuit boards and components replaced. • Create and/or update repair procedure documentation based on testing results, best practices, and new findings. • Identify opportunities for process improvements. • Track raw material usage and submit purchase requests to the Service Engineering Manager for required materials. • Provide operational support in the Production and Service Center. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Strong electronics background with soldering experience including the ability to repair through-hole circuit boards. • Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as a multi-meter and oscilloscope. • Experience using schematics to analyze circuit logic. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. • Associate’s Degree in an electronics field with two years of applicable experience. • Experience with MS Office suite

OVERVIEW The position is responsible inspection of sub-assemblies and finished product according to quality standards and procedures. Inspections include first articles, in-process inspections, release of finish product and Statistical Process Controls (SPC). Informs production personnel of non-conforming materials. Analyzes defective parts and provides feedback to Production personnel. Works with engineering and manufacturing teams in projects related with improvement of equipment, materials and vendors to develop solutions and implement preventative measures.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: • Inspects parts being produced per established procedures and AQLs • Reviews defective parts coming from machines, analyzes them and provides feedback to Maintenance Technician and Production personnel. • Collects scrap from all machines and reviews it for potential salvaging, and disposition of parts within Quality Module • Generates Defective Material Reports (DMR) for non-conforming materials. • Responsible for controlling inventory within MRB • Completes and interprets Statistical Process Controls charts and histograms, enters inspection data into Infinity Software • Ensures control plans and associated documentation are maintained. • Monitors and reports on quality related issues, scrap, rework levels, and parts per million (PPM) • Stops production in the event of manufacture of unacceptable goods/processes. • May assist in train direct labor personnel and others. • Undertakes special assignments as required. • Contributes and participates in continuous improvement activities. • Position requires an individual who is enthusiastic, hardworking and team player.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Associate or Technical degree • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Inspection Systems (Smartscope, OGP) • GD+T experience, able to read and understand drawings • Understands how to use and apply correct inspection tools/equipment for various inspection methods. • Statistical background (i.e. capability studies, Gage R&R) *Able to write appropriate Work Instructions *Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing tools *Computer literate in Microsoft Office tools *Excellent communication skills, high integrity, results driven.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Temporary Painter position, will be assisting the full-time staff at the University of Arizona with dormitory building turns through the summer.  As the dorms are vacated, the staff, student workers and temp painters work together to systematically repair and repaint the facilities as needed.  The temp painters generally work together in teams of 3 – 5, and are responsible for repairs, prep and painting of mostly interior surfaces, some exterior on occasion.  Surfaces include walls, ceilings, handrails, doors, trim, etc., throughout the building hallways, bedrooms, bathrooms, lobbies and other common areas, primarily using brush/roller application. 

Temp painters are expected to arrive daily and punctually for scheduled hours, should be clean and neat in their work and presentation, respectful of the University culture, and professional in their communication and interactions with staff, students, co-workers and others, at all times.  There are 23 dormitories on campus, and the University relies on the temp painters for a job well done to keep our buildings beautiful for years to come. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 - Prepares and applies paint to interior and exterior surfaces, using primarily water-based paint, primers and coatings on many surface types (drywall, stucco, metal, wood), with brush/roller and aerosol-cans.

- Prep surface areas to receive paint, including scraping, cleaning, patching, caulking, taping, application of paper/plastic and use of drop cloths to protect non-painted surfaces from spills and drips.  

- Maintain equipment, tools and supplies, including work-cart, brushes, rollers, and buckets, cleaning daily for continued use, in designated cleaning areas.   

- Work both independently and as part of a team, able to stay on task and to shift priorities rapidly, follow instructions as given, and stay productive through the day. 

- Communicate effectively with co-workers and Lead about tools, supplies, inventory and project concerns.

- Practice high safety standards, keep work areas clean, minimizing risk and maximizing efficiency. 

- Maintain clean, appropriate painting attire and respectful communication during work hours on campus, as representatives of Housing Maintenance Services.

- Perform related duties as assigned to meet Housing & Residential Life and University goals and objectives.

Job Requirements:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- One or more years of painting experience, either commercial and/or residential.

- Ability to reach high and low places, overhead and floor level, to work on ladders, and keep sustained physical labor for the duration of the workday. 

- Ability to lift 50+ pounds, including moving furniture, 5-gallon paint buckets, and equipment.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Extensive painting experience a plus

- Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials and application techniques common to the painting trade (brushes, rollers, extension poles, drop cloths, buckets, scrapers)

- Knowledge in the usage of tools, equipment, and application techniques for installing or repairing drywall, plaster, stucco, and masonry surfaces

- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
