ResourceMFG is recruiting for a Computer Build & Repair Technician to take on 11-month assignment with the possibility of being considered for permanent placement. This Job is with a client in the Manufacturing and Production industry and is located on the SE side of Tucson off of Valencia and Kolb.

OVERVIEW: The Computer Build and Repair Technician is responsible for the troubleshooting, build/repair, and shipment of computers for irrigation systems. The ideal candidate will be able to perform a variety of mechanical, electrical, and programming tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

? Ownership of order fulfillment from receipt to shipment.

? Provides service in the most time and cost-efficient manner.

? Maintain clear records of communications and project information.

? Directly process internal paperwork necessary to bill for services rendered and parts provided.

? Coordinate communications with Rain Bird Service staff.

? Any projects assigned by the Service Manager for North and South America.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

? Requires 1+ years of experience with hardware, software, radio and other communication systems.

? Proven success in environments where attention to detail and organizational skills are required.

? Demonstrates structured approach to problem solving and adherence to operating procedures.

? Works well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

? Team oriented.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

? Soldering Qualifications and Experience

? Experience with Jira and/or order processes

? Experience with process standards; 5S, six sigma, etc.

? Ability to develop, document, and execute repetitive business practices.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:00pm

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Clean, evaluate and test irrigation control electronics and circuit boards for proper functionality.

• Troubleshoot, repair, or replace circuit components that have failed or are operating outside of specification.

• Thoroughly track and document repaired circuit boards and components replaced.

• Create and/or update repair procedure documentation based on testing results, best practices, and new findings.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements.

• Track raw material usage and submit purchase requests to the Service Engineering Manager for required materials.

• Provide operational support in the Production and Service Center.

Job Requirements:

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong electronics background with soldering experience including the ability to repair through-hole circuit boards.

• Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as a multi-meter and oscilloscope.

• Experience using schematics to analyze circuit logic.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

• Associate’s Degree in an electronics field with two years of applicable experience.

• Experience with MS Office suite
