Location: Houston, TX 77041

NW Houston Steel manufacturing company seeking temp to hire Material Handler to join their expanding team. Seeking candidate with prior work experience within a steel manufacturing/warehouse facility.

• Sit-down and Overhead crane experience
• Able to remove steel parts off plasma machines and palletize
• Inventory control
• Day shift: 5 am - 1:30 pm
• $18+DOE

• Able to work within a non-temperature controlled environment

EHS Coordinator will be responsible for following the direction of the EHS Manager in administering the EHS Program on a floor level.

Job Duties:

• Strong organizational skills. 
• Requires close collaboration with production leadership (day/night shift), as well as EHS coordinators across all shifts and all sites.
• Conduct daily shop walk throughs.
• Encourage Pro-Active Hazard Identification and Mitigation through ensuring employee participation in consistent behavior-based safety programs.
• Working with supervisors and leads to develop effective JSA’s.
• Stay abreast of existing and proposed laws, regulations, standards, and regulatory guidance (and proposed changes) to assess applicability.
• Investigate and document work-related accidents, incidents, and near misses, and ensure corrective and preventive measures are implemented.
• Act on hazards and look for mitigation methods to deal with the hazards discovered.

Job Skills requirements:

• PC proficiency with Microsoft office tools that include Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to mentor and coach others on safety guidelines.
• Minimum Requirements
• At least 2 years supervisory experience.
• Experience in leading safety meetings.
• Experience with OSHA Standards CFR 1910 for the general industry.

Schedule will be Monday – Friday. Saturdays when needed.

1^st Shift 6am to 4pm with some overtime.

Pay range: $25-$30 an hour based on experience.
