Sewing Finisher Machine Operator - 1st Shift

Location: Sun Valley, CA

• Hours 8:15 AM - 5:00 PM
• Pay starts at $ 18.00 Hourly depending on experience

Job Duties:

• Set up, operate, adjust and maintain all sewn products, production machines, and equipment.
• Effectively and safely operate single needle industrial sewing machines.
• Ensure that machines are producing quality stitches according to required quality standards.
• Work as a team with others in the assembly line to ensure product quality.

Job Requirements:

• Industrial sewing machine experience
• Single needle operator 
• Follow operating procedures and customer specifications to produce quality products
• Draw threads through and change machine settings for different jobs.
• Feed material through the machine, stitch together fabric.
• Check finished work against the pattern instructions.

PRODUCTION HELPER ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Set up some processing and packaging equipment. Operate some production and packaging equipment.

• Participate in the batch making, opening drums, and pumping concentrates into blending tanks.

• Move, sort and wash fruit as needed seasonally.

• Label finished-product containers. Box and shrink-wrap pallets of product.

• Rinse equipment and area after production.

Location: Pacoima

Hours: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm with overtime

pay $17.00

Job Requirements:

• Ability to work in fast pace production environment
• Work in hot and cold environment
• Able to speak and understand English 
• Some Heavy Lifting.

Machine Operator Responsibilities: 

• Machine quality: Uses gauges, calibration and measuring tools and equipment to check dimensions
• Checks accuracy of work against blueprints and specifications
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret analog, digital and Vernier gauges.
• Ensure conformance with applicable quality program standards on how to produce high-quality work with low rework and scrap. Sets-up computer-controlled machines
• Reviews standard work, job procedures and specifications for a job; Calculates where to cut or bore; Modifies programs in response to problems; Uses/defines the proper tooling for the job.

Job Requirements:

• Must be dependable, a team player, hardworking and wanting to learn a new trade and a valuable skill. 
• 1-2 years CNC Machinist or related background
• Must know basic Math
