Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintenance on welding machinery/robots.
• Responsible for weld change overs and charting change overs to track continuous improvements.
• Responsible for notification to leadership for all worn, lost, and broken tooling.
• Maintain all tooling carts and have knowledge of what value stream the tooling is for.
• Understanding of weld run out parameters and demonstrate ability to adjust to engineering specifications.

Job Summary:

Learn how to fixture, program and cut/trim carbon fiber parts and foam to facilitate the layup of carbon composite parts to meet strict quality and process standards.

Duties/Essential Job Functions:

• Manage daily tasks per direction of lead
• Cut, trim or machine composites and foam for low volume production and prototypes
• Perform typical composite duties such as trimming, fitting, cutting, drilling, sanding composite parts to meet drawing specifications
• Perform light duty machine operations utilizing drill press, band saw, chop saw, cnc router and hand power tools
• Ensure area and equipment is maintained in a clean organized work environment

Job Duties:

• Manufacture and assemble composites for low volume production and prototypes
• Trimming, fitting, laminating, cutting and drill composite parts to drawing specifications
• Perform light duty machine operations utilizing drill press, band saw, chop saw and hand power tools
• Lay out, assemble, pre-fit and bond a variety of composites or laminate fabrications, parts, skins or equipment
• Complete hand layup by following specific work instructions and drawings for each part
• Ensure each tooling was cleaned of all foreign object debris, prepped, and checked for defects while also keeping a clean work environment
