Summary:

Manual placement of components in a clean-room environment, to manufacture high-reliability microelectronic devices.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret assembly instructions, drawings and work instruction processes.
  • Written tests for ESD + Manual Die attach and Sub Attach requirements.
  • Use tools such as fine tipped tweezers, x-acto knives, vacuum pencils, dental probes, calipers, scales.
  • Handle fine pitched micro electronics components such as dies, air-bridge dies, capacitors, resistors, substrates, hybrids.  .
  • Hand apply epoxy and solder on densly populated substrate pads without disturbing epoxy on neighboring pads.
  • Attach loaded /unloaded substrates into case using performs and hot plate.
  • Use hot plates and other tools to remove dies and other components from the substrate for the purpose of rework.
  • Perform rework- removing epoxy, die and other components from the substrate and applying fresh epoxy and installing new components using the above mentioned tools, hot plate etc.

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Perform general physical activities.
  • 0-1 year working experience as a manual die attach/sub-attach operator in a microelectronic assembly factory.
  • Familiar with MIL-PRF-38534 requirements for microelectronics’ assembly.
  • Ability to work in a class 100,000 (class 8) clean room environment using clean room antistatic gowns, facemasks, hair covers etc.  
  • Ability to work with a 30X microscope throughout the day.
  • Ability to access documents using a computer
  • Should not have a problem in using chemical based cleaning systems for cleaning build substrates etc.
  • Mechanical aptitude/dexterity and the ability to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Fluency in English Language- Reading, written & spoken

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma /GED or equivalent experience

MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adhere to all ESD requirements and Board Handling procedures.
  • Use of Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) handling requirements based on component moisture sensitive levels (MSL).
  • Identify faulted components or manufacturing defects on production printed circuit boards (down to the component level) and submit for re-work.
  • Read, interpret, and react to schematics for the troubleshooting process.
  • Test production printed circuit boards to include but not limited to functional and boundary scan tests.
  • Must have RF experience.
  • Run software backups, diagnostics and preventive maintenance on tester control computers; identify signs of viruses or excessive fragmenting and clean them when needed.
  • Support the production test operator training and certification program.
  • Support test engineering development projects as required.
  • Participate in test process and test station improvements, efficiencies, and safety.
  • Create test reports that accurately describe test results and any other findings observed during test and/or troubleshooting processes.
  • Interface with other cross-functional departments, and possibly customers.
  • Utilize, enter data, and to track yield/troubleshooting details with Clarity application for tested and debugged assemblies for all products.
  • Comply with company standards and ISO procedures and standards related to company’s various Quality Management Systems.  These systems may include, but are not limited to, quality, the environment, health, safety and security.
  • Train production test debug technicians as requested.
  • Support all corporate and site 6S objectives.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned, may be required to work overtime, and occasional Saturdays.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Operate all CNC turning machines within a Primary subgroup to produce a variety of standard and non-standard parts to close tolerances and exacting finish specifications.
  • Refer to Shop Order and Engineering Drawings for dimensions, tolerances, finishes and number of parts to be machined.
  • Follow established procedures, verbal instructions, and information obtained from set-up sheets and layout sheets to operate machines.
  • Use micrometers, venires, optical comparator, microscope, and a variety of fixed and adjustable gauges to check work.
  • Produce parts for First Article inspection and check parts periodically; make adjustments to correct variances and maintain required tolerances and quality.
  • Diagnose and correct operating difficulties.
  • Work subject to process inspection; screen parts for established defect characteristics.
  • Maintain necessary records. Detect and report unusual conditions and special problems to proper supervisor.
  • Move materials, parts, and containers, as required, in performance of duties or as directed.
  • Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations and conform to OSHA regulations. Keep work area in clean orderly condition.

(1) Assigned work areas may change as production requirements warrant.

(2) CNC operators are responsible for producing quality parts; i.e. within specification.

Additionally, Assembly Technicians will disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

 

What you’ll be doing as an Assembly Tech I:

  • Using hand and power tools, assemble a variety of parts, sub-assemblies, or complete units to specified tolerances.
  • Inserting Heli coils.
  • Inserting bushings, bearings, and pins using Arbor press
  • Touch up paint, apply epoxy coatings and sealants.
  • Marking parts with engravers, vibro-peen, chem-etch, or laser.
  • Production testing using hydraulic and other test methods.
  • Follow written instructions, drawings, and blueprints.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
  • Ensure proper documentation is entered on manufacturing planning (including correct quantities) and paperless timecard system.
  • Completes all daily record keeping, part count and part traceability with consistent accuracy.
  • Adheres to all workplace safety guidelines, policies, and laws determined by the company, state, and federal authorities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Production Control Coordinator

How You’ll Make an Impact 

As a Production Control Coordinator you will have the responsibility of planning, scheduling, tracking and expediting product through the Order Fulfillment cycle.  The Production Control Coordinator’s responsibility begins with the receipt of the customer purchase order or contract, through the manufacturing cycle, shipment, and/or stock.  This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining inventory levels in support of company policy and objectives.  This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager.  

 

What you’ll be doing as a Production Control Coordinator:

  • Contract Review
    • Reviews and validates delivery dates; identifies options, informs management and takes appropriate action if delivery dates cannot be achieved.
    • Reviews and prepares planning; gains approval for planning as required.
    • Pulls approved planning template to job; releases jobs per schedule requirements.
  • Production Scheduling
    • Creates and manages production schedules.
    • Reviews dispatch reports on a periodic basis; identifies options, reports concerns to management and takes appropriate action.
  • Backlog Management
    • Prepares rolling 3-month shipment analysis and reports to management monthly, or as requested by management.
    • Tracks daily, weekly and monthly shipping performance against the rolling 3-month plan; makes recommendations, reports concerns to management and takes appropriate action.
  • Outside Processing Management
    • Monitors OSP deliveries and receipts in support of production schedules.
    • Obtains quotes for price and delivery.
  • Inventory Management
    • Sets minimum and maximum inventory levels in support of company policy and objectives.
    • Calculates EOQ’s and establishes job lot sizes accordingly.
    • Purchases materials to support EOQ, schedule and inventory level objectives.
    • Obtains quotes for price and delivery for raw materials and hardware.
    • Monitors Manufacturing Schedule Performance.  Tracks late job operations; identifies options, reports to management and takes appropriate action.
    • Reviews machine loading on a periodic basis.  Identifies opportunities and concerns, reports to management and takes appropriate action.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of MRP systems and related processes.
  • Technical understanding and ability to read industry blueprints and specifications.
  • General knowledge of machining concepts and methods.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • B.S. in business or engineering or equivalent combination of work experience, education and certification.

Preferred Requirements: 

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

Summary: Assembly of airborne communication and navigation antennas. Primary work is conducted while standing utilizing hand tools (powered and manual), machinery or applicable materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings to accurately assemble equipment and products
• Utilize hand held tools such as a hand held screw and drill gun
• Maintain inventory of product in work stations
• Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
• Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
• Identify hardware, wire assemblies and plastic components.
• Work with miniature to large components
• Integrate electronic assemblies and cables into mechanical housings.
• Use various hand tools (pliers, rulers, cutters and pneumatic tools such as torque drivers, torque wrenches and screwdrivers).
• Perform all other duties, as assigned.
