Job Summary:
This is a full-time position focused on setup and operation of 3-axis CNC lathes for high-precision aerospace components. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and capable of holding tight tolerances in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate 3-axis CNC lathes for production of aerospace parts
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
- Perform first article inspections and in-process quality checks
- Hold tight tolerances of ±0.0005" (five tenths)
- Select and install proper tooling, fixtures, and work holding devices
- Make offset adjustments and program edits at the machine as needed
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality standards

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Under supervision, sets up and operates different types of equipment used to weld metal cabinets and other related products.
2. Plans details of working procedure, tools, and material requirements.
3. Welds sheet metal using different welding positions (flat, overhead, vertical, etc.).
4. Cleans and prepares surfaces (including sanding) to be welded.
5. Uses cutting torch equipment to dismantle assemblies and to cut material to size and shape.
6. Builds up worn or defective surfaces.
7. Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
8. Works from blueprint, engineering specifications and production schedules.
9. Upon completion of welding operations, assists other areas as needed.
Technical Competencies:
• High school or equivalent education preferred.
• 1+ year of MIG Welding experience.
• Production welding with sheet metal experience preferred.
• Must demonstrate the capability of welding sheet metal products by passing welding test.
• Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints.
• Available and willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as production demands dictates.

Job Requirements:
Professional Qualifications
- AA or technical certificate, is preferred.
- 3-5 years’ experience as a QA Inspector in electronics manufacturing environment.
- Certification for J-STD C or IPC-610/620, is preferred.
- Should have knowledge of GD&T and a strong ability to read and understand product drawings, blueprints, and applicable specifications.
- Experience with standard inspection tools such as micro meter, calipers, gauge indicators, microscopes, etc.
- Previous quality inspection experience in manufacturing preferred
- Familiarity with IPC-610 and/or J-STD standards is a plus
- Knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO-9001 quality systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
