JOB DESCRIPTION: Operator capable of performing skilled work in setting up and operating a standard AMADA Press Brake to form sheet metal to precision tolerances. Reports to Brake department lead or/and Shop management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Sets up and performs BRAKE operations on AMADA style Brake Machinery to specifications of work orders and fabrication prints/drawings without supervision.
• Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings or fabrication prints as needed for accurate and safe brake operation.
• Must understand and calculate bend deduction allowances as required to properly and safely set up AMADA air bend tooling.
• Applicant must be able to follows work order directions and safely produces required quantity of parts efficiently and within the required tolerance and cosmetic quality.
• Must performs light level daily maintenance on assigned brake press equipment.

BASIC FUNCTIONS:
Successful applicants will possess a variety of experience and in-depth knowledge in areas such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and Industrial Controls, PLC skills a plus. Familiar with paint booth preventative maintenance and equipment. This is a hands-on position in a continuous production environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Service, troubleshoot, and repair industrial components such as motors, variable AC drives, PLCs, servos, sensors, and switches.
• Service, troubleshoot, and repair industrial pneumatic system components such as pumps, valves, cylinders, motors, and solenoids.
• Perform power tool corrections and position adjustments.
• Maintain and update repair and work logs on Hippo CMS.
• Prioritize repairs to effectively meet the needs of the production schedule.
• Provide routine preventative maintenance on equipment and work with production personnel to maintain and improve quality.
• Perform some fabrication when installing motors or pumps.
• Assist with the proposal and recommendation for the purchase of equipment and services.
• Assist in equipment failure root cause analysis with prompt resolution.
