ResourceMFG has an opening for an experienced CNC/Wire EDM operator for a client located in Port Huron, MI. 

1st shift: 5:00am-3:30pm

2nd Shift: 3:30pm-2:00am

3rd shift: 6:30pm-5:00am

$20+ based on experience

A Wire EDM Operator is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating wire electrical discharge machines to create precision parts in manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Setup and Operation: Prepare and operate wire EDM machines, ensuring they are correctly set up for each job. This includes selecting and aligning fixtures, wires, and workpieces. 
• Perform G-code programming to run the machines, utilizing CAD/CAM software to create the necessary instructions for the EDM process. 
• Oversee the machining process, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency. This includes inspecting finished products to ensure they meet specifications. 
• Conduct routine maintenance on wire EDM machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity. 
• Measure, mark, and document dimensions of materials and finished products, maintaining accurate records of production. 

Job Requirements:

Requirements

• 3 years previous experience preferred
• Fanuc Wire EDM experience preferred
• Haas and Fanuc experience required
• Ability to read, understand and interpret work instructions and blueprints per specified job.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong math skills

• Minimum 3 months relevant Machine Operator experience
• Attention to detail
• Able to use basic hand and power tools
• Basic math
• Mechanical aptitude

• Able to multi-task
• Ability to read ruler/tape measure
