Pay/Schedule:

  • $25 - $30 per hour (depending on experience) 
  • 6:00am - 6:00pm 
  • 7 days on / 7 days off

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Observe and listen to operating machinery to diagnose malfunctions and determine repair needs
  • Study blueprints, sketches, and machine specifications
  • Dismantle machinery or equipment to access and remove defective parts
  • Examine parts for imperfections; inspect used parts for dimensional changes
  • Adjust and repair functional parts, control instruments, and devices
  • Replace defective mechanical parts and troubleshoot failures
  • Install structural and functional components within equipment
  • Assemble and test machinery to verify corrected issues
  • Work with management and production operators on preventative/predicative maintenance
  • Set up and operate drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools
  • Repair electric la equipment or replace wiring, switches, and relays
  • Coordinate with outside service providers as needed
  • Initiate purchase orders for parts, repairs, or replacement equipment
  • Monitor paper-recycling operations; perform minor repairs and coordinate major repairs with management
  • Ensure OSHA, EPA, and company safety compliance 

 

 

 

 

Job Requirements:

Requires Skills and Abilities: 

  • Certificate from college or technical school and 3 - 5 years of industrail maintenance experience or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and machine specifications
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Experience diagnosing mechanical issues using equipment sounds and operational behavior
  • Skilled in dismantling machinery, repairing defective parts, and reinstalling components
  • Ability to use drill press, grinder, metalworking tools to make or repair parts.
  • Electrical repair skills (wiring, switches, relays) 
  • Ability to adjust and repair control instruments and functional machine parts
  • Experience performing preventative and predictive maintenance
  • Demonstrated leadership, organization, and strong communication skills. 
  • Ability to give clear technical direction to others and assist production and safety teams.
