Machinists Needed in Paw Paw, MI

1st Shift | Up to $32.00 Per Hour

Job Overview: Join our dedicated team as a Machinist, where you'll operate Cincinnati CNC machines, similar to Haas. This role requires programming experience, including editing, modifying, and blueprint reading.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and program mills and lathes, setting tool registers, offsets, and calculating requirements (basic math, geometry, and trigonometry)
• Set up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three and four jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, stock, and pushers
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery
• Operate vertical mills, surface & OD grinders, boring mills, engine lathes, saws, and drill presses
• Understand machining, shop math, blueprint reading, sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications

Requirements:

• Preferred: Bring your own small tools and toolbox
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
• Work effectively both individually and as part of a team
• Proficient in blueprint and schematic reading, and GD&T
• Mechanical knowledge, including electrical wiring, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• 1-3 years of machinist experience

• Load finished products into or out of trucks or railcars in the proper manner to ensure customer quality

• Read work order or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved

• Load and unload materials such as packaging supplies and finished goods to the proper warehouse area

Minimum of one (1) year forklift experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
