Job Opening: Process and Automation Techs

We are seeking a skilled Process & Automation Technician to support, troubleshoot, and improve automated manufacturing systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience with PLCs, robotics, industrial automation, electrical troubleshooting, and process improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role is responsible for maintaining production equipment, optimizing automated processes, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to ensure maximum efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair automated production equipment and control systems
• Program, modify, and maintain PLCs including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Support robotics systems, sensors, VFDs, HMIs, and industrial controls
• Monitor manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for automation improvements
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automation equipment
• Analyze root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to improve efficiency
• Maintain documentation for equipment, processes, and maintenance activities
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Automation Technology, Electrical Technology, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in industrial automation, manufacturing, or maintenance
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming
• Knowledge of robotics, servo motors, sensors, and automated systems
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Skills

• Allen-Bradley ControlLogix or CompactLogix experience
• Siemens PLC experience
• Fanuc, ABB, or Yaskawa robotics experience
• Industrial networking and Ethernet/IP knowledge
• HMI development and troubleshooting
• Preventive Maintenance (PM) program experience
• Root Cause Analysis and Six Sigma methodologies
