Mechanic / Manual Machinist Apprentice

Job Type: Full-Time

Are you mechanically inclined and interested in learning a skilled trade? We are looking for a Mechanic / Manual Machinist Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on training in mechanical maintenance, equipment repair, manual machining, fabrication, and assembly.

Responsibilities:

• Assist mechanics and manual machinists with maintenance, repair, fabrication, and assembly projects.
• Learn to safely use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and shop equipment.
• Assist with disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of mechanical equipment and components.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks including cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, and parts replacement.
• Learn to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Assist with setup and operation of manual lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, and other machine shop equipment.
• Learn basic machining operations including turning, facing, drilling, boring, milling, threading, tapping, and grinding.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Requirements:

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn a skilled trade.
• Ability to read measuring devices and perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to work safely in an industrial shop environment.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Previous shop, maintenance, or manufacturing experience 4+ years
