Industrial Mechanic

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, machining experience, and the ability to read technical drawings and specifications. This position is responsible for rebuilding gearboxes, machining components, inspecting finished products, and maintaining a safe, organized shop environment.

Essential Functions

• Communicate effectively in English with the Shop Supervisor, Sales Representatives, and occasionally customers regarding job assignments and project requirements.
• Perform machining and repair tasks including:
  • Milling
  • Broaching
  • Boring
  • Drilling
  • Tapping
  • Threading
  • Welding
  • Measuring
  • Disassembly and assembly of components
  • Cleaning and inspection of parts

Qualifications

• Experience in machining, industrial maintenance, gearbox repair, or a related mechanical field.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Welding experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to safely operate shop equipment and machinery.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Skills

• Gearbox rebuilding and troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of industrial power transmission equipment.
• Mechanical assembly and disassembly expertise.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, machine shop, or repair environment.
