NOW HIRING: BAND SAW OPERATOR 

Machine Shop | Full-Time | 2nd Shift 

Location: Montebello, CA
Shift: 2nd shift: Monday -Friday 3:30pm – 12:00am ( Must train on 1st shift ) 

Are you experienced working in a machine shop environment? We’re looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Band Saw Operator to join our growing team! This role plays a critical part in supporting machining and fabrication operations by accurately preparing metal materials for production.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate horizontal and/or vertical band saws
• Cut steel, aluminum, and other metal materials to precise specifications
• Read blueprints, cut lists, job travelers, and mechanical drawings
• Measure and mark materials using precision tools
• Select proper saw blades for various materials and thicknesses
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
• Perform routine maintenance, blade changes, lubrication, and cleaning
• Ensure materials meet quality standards and dimensional tolerances
• Report equipment issues and material defects
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the shop

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of band saw or related cutting equipment experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
• Familiarity with metals and alloys used in manufacturing
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
