Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our warehouse team. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for an individual who demonstrates strong attendance, a positive attitude, a solid work ethic, and consistent performance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving incoming shipments, preparing outgoing orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting overall warehouse operations in a safe and efficient manner.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Unload, organize, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, label, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Ensure outgoing shipments are accurate and completed on time.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventory tracking procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and report inventory discrepancies to management.
- Perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing products to ensure accuracy and product integrity.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Utilize warehouse systems, scanners, and basic computer programs to enter and track inventory data.
- Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and workplace safety guidelines.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Support other warehouse functions and complete additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory management preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
- Experience with inventory management and stock control practices.
- Ability to perform quality control inspections and identify discrepancies.
- Experience operating pallet jacks or similar warehouse equipment.
- Basic computer skills, including:
- Microsoft Outlook (Email)
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Word
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
