Shear Operator

Location: Rogers, MN
Shift: 6:00AM – 2:30PM Full-Time | Overtime Available | Occasional Saturdays Required
Pay: $20.00-$23.00/hour DOE

We are seeking an experienced Shear Operator to join a growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for operating and setting up hydraulic shears while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and set up hydraulic shear equipment.
• Cut materials accurately according to production specifications.
• Verify material types, thicknesses, and dimensions before processing.
• Read and interpret work orders and production requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards.
• Assist with other shop and production duties as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous hydraulic shear operating experience preferred, with 3+ years of experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Ability to convert decimals to fractions and fractions to decimals.
• Ability to identify and differentiate various metal types and material thicknesses.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Flexibility to assist with other shop duties based on production demands.
