We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical / Sheet Metal Fabrication Drafter to join a growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for creating accurate fabrication drawings and supporting documentation for production, ensuring project requirements, fabrication intent, and customer specifications are translated into high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize AutoCAD and Inventor to create accurate fabrication drawings for internal and customer review.
• Analyze project documents, blueprints, customer drawings, and architectural drawings to develop detailed fabrication packages.
• Interpret project requirements and create drawings that accurately convey scope, design intent, and fabrication specifications.
• Partner closely with Project Management, Engineering, and Production teams to ensure smooth communication and project execution.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, drawings, correspondence, and workflow updates.
• Monitor project progress and communicate technical issues or delays as needed.
• Support continuous improvement efforts and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2020 or newer required.
• Proficiency in Inventor 2024 or newer required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience using Inventor.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical documents.
• Experience in architectural metal panels, cladding, commercial construction, sheet metal fabrication, or related industries preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to understand technical concepts.
