Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine effective solutions.
• Install, maintain, and repair machinery and production equipment.
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues before failures occur.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with facility repairs and general maintenance tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance technician experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment preferred.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic equipment.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely.
• Basic understanding of preventive maintenance programs.
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
• Ability to safely climb ladders and work at heights when necessary.
