Shift: D10, Su-W 5am-330pm; N12, Th-Sa 6pm-630am

Pay: $15.00 – $15.50

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and monitor SMT production equipment to ensure the efficient assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs) while meeting quality and production standards..

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor SMT equipment, including pick-and-place machines, screen printers, and reflow ovens.
• Load components and materials needed for production runs.
• Inspect circuit boards and components for quality and accuracy.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and report equipment or production issues.
• Perform machine changeovers and basic equipment adjustments as needed.
• Verify materials, part numbers, and production documentation before starting jobs.
• Follow work instructions, quality requirements, and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate production records and data entries.
• Work closely with quality, engineering, and production teams to meet manufacturing goals.
• Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance of equipment and work areas.
• Support additional production functions as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• SMT, electronics manufacturing, or PCB assembly experience.
• Experience operating pick-and-place equipment, screen printers, or reflow ovens.
• IPC knowledge or electronics assembly experience.
• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and production documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle small electronic components.
• Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels.
