Manual Prototype Machinist/Scientific Instrument Maker 

Manual Machinist needed Central Houston! Well known university in Houston seeking Manual Machinist to support Research team. You’ll be able to work year- round/40 hour work week and help prototype some amazing items.

Position requires:

•  A manual machinist with 5+ years of experience.
• This will be fabrication work, repairs and rebuilds.
• Knowledge of blueprints, schematics and drawing will be expected
• Basic shop math is required (right triangle).
• Machinist must have own machinist tools.
• AC shop environment
• Temp to hire position, excellent benefits once hired
• First shift position, Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5 pm
• Pay will range from $25-32 Depending on experience

• Proficient with shop math
• Bridgeport mill
• Saws/grinding
• Skillful working with brass, aluminum, copper, plastics, etc
• High School Diploma/Trade School Certificate a plus
