Welder/Fabricator

Location: Comstock Park, MI

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team in Comstock Park, MI. This position is responsible for the custom fabrication of industrial HVAC equipment from start to finish. If you enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and building high-quality products from engineering drawings, we'd like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Manually perform MIG welding on structural components, including tube and angle iron, to build equipment frames.
• Weld and fabricate 10-18 gauge sheet steel to complete unit assemblies.
• Build custom industrial HVAC units from the ground up using subcomponents from previous stages of production.
• Ensure weld quality, dimensional accuracy, and adherence to company standards.
• Safely operate welding and fabrication equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

• Previous MIG welding and metal fabrication experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes and measuring tools.
• Ability to work independently and determine fabrication methods and assembly order.
• Experience working with structural steel and sheet metal preferred.
• Ability to lift, move, and maneuver materials and equipment as needed.
• Units typically range from 5 to 10 feet in height, width, and length.
• Fabrication of each custom unit generally takes between 1 to 3 days to complete.
