Punch Press Operator – Manufacturing Facility
Full-time Monday – Friday 7am-3:30pm
$16 – $18 based on experience
Position Overview The Punch Press Operator is responsible for setting up, configuring, and operating electrically powered punch presses to cut, shape, and form metal, plastic, and other materials used in manufacturing operations. This role performs precision tasks such as blanking, bending, punching, and forming according to blueprints, production specifications, and work instructions.
Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate punch press machines according to job specifications.

Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and written instructions to determine production requirements.

Perform operations including blanking, bending, punching, forming, and related processes.

Inspect parts for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications.

Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.

Maintain a clean and safe work area; follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Perform routine machine maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly.

Record production data and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications

Previous experience operating punch press or similar machinery preferred.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions.

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Basic math and measurement skills (calipers, micrometers, tape measures).
