Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and motivated Assembly Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling Power Distribution Units (PDUs), electrical cables, wire harnesses, and electro-mechanical components according to engineering and company specifications. The Assembly Operator plays a critical role in ensuring that products are assembled accurately, tested thoroughly, and delivered to customers with the highest standards of workmanship and reliability. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and a commitment to maintaining an organized and efficient work environment.
Assembly and Production
- Assemble Power Distribution Units (PDUs) and various electrical components according to company specifications and engineering documentation.
- Assemble cables, wire harnesses, electronic assemblies, and electro-mechanical test equipment following detailed work instructions, drawings, and schematics.
- Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, routing instructions, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.
- Perform component installation, wiring, termination, and connection tasks with accuracy and consistency.
- Replace, repair, remove, and install electrical components on PDUs and related equipment as required.
- Verify that assembled products meet established specifications and quality standards before moving to the next production stage.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment safely and effectively.
- Support production schedules by completing assigned work accurately and within established deadlines.
Physical Requirements
To successfully perform the essential functions of this position, employees must be able to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Use hands and fingers to handle tools, small components, wiring, and assembly materials.
- Frequently bend, twist, reach, kneel, and stoop.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Perform repetitive hand and arm movements throughout the shift.
- Maintain visual acuity sufficient to inspect components, assemblies, labels, and wiring connections.
- Work in a manufacturing or warehouse environment with varying noise levels.
Work Environment
This position works primarily within a manufacturing and warehouse setting. The environment may include exposure to machinery, production equipment, tools, moving materials, and moderate noise levels. Employees are expected to maintain compliance with safety standards and utilize required personal protective equipment.
